Time to wake this thread up!! Here are some pages from our 2005 DL trip.

"The Wait at the Gate"

ry%3D400

ry%3D400

Background paper is embossed with "Disney". Blue page is for DD, green is for DS. Used a sketch from www.pagemaps.com for this.

"Hello, Disney!"

ry%3D400

Background is a textured light bubblegum pink. Title and mats are a medium periwinkle blue. I was trying to accent the pink in the castle. Both kids got pretty much the same LO. Used a Becky Higgins sketch.

"blaster boy"

ry%3D400

DS's pages for our first visit to Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. Background is a textured bright green.

"Astro fun"

ry%3D400

DD's pages for our visit with Buzz. Background is a patterned paper with blue circles. Used a BH sketch for both of these Buzz L/Os.

I will start another post for the rest. I already had to re-do this post twice because I kept losing it!! :scared1: Don't want to have to do it again!

If you saw my pages for the previous day at DL, you will notice the guys are wearing the same shirts. They LOVED their matching shirts so much that they wore them again the next day!!!.....P

More from our 2005 DL trip.

"Big and small"

ry%3D400

DD's page.... used a deep forest green (textured, so the photo looks funny of course!) with light green and medium golden yellow.

ry%3D400

DS's page.... used a deep vanilla/tan with navy and deep green mats and photo corners.

The "Big and small" title refers to BTMRR and IASW. Used a BH sketch for this I believe.

"Golden Moments"

ry%3D400

Photos of a golden ride vehicle and the golden bunting and accents on the castle.

Background was navy with mats/accents of gold metallic and light blue metallic and a bit of patterned paper that contained light blue, gold, and pink (to accent the castle pink again).

ry%3D400

Same idea but used two gold metallics and eliminated the light blue metallic. And I FINALLY got to use the golden Mickey ear brads that I have been saving for years!!

"Two Princes and Two Princesses"

ry%3D400

Lame title. Background is Bazzills pink (so the texture makes the photo wanky). Mats, etc are a lighter Bazzills pink and a light green. Basically same LO for both kids. Used a BH sketch here.

Journaling page

ry%3D400

I realized as I went along that I would have more journaling than I could reasonably put on my regular pages, so I decided to include a "journaling only" LO of sorts. DD made the "serendipity" page on the left a few years ago and I have been saving it for just such an occasion! Fortunately I still had a few scraps of paper that she included, so I was able to accent the right page with it.

ry%3D400

I copped out and did the most basic of basic pages for DS's journaling page. oh well... they can't all be masterpieces! :rotfl:

"Welcome to our Happy-To-Be Time!"

ry%3D400

Waiting for the parade to start. I pulled the title from the song that was playing during this time (the Welcome song from Brother Bear). I wanted to include the song lyrics on this page, but I didn't have a good spot for them, so I bagged the idea. But I may include them with a CD of the song in a pocket page later in the book. This is DS's page....

ry%3D400

and here is DD's page. Used another BH sketch here!!

"Parade of Dreams"

ry%3D400

DD's page. Colors actually look true in this photo! Used a sketch from Page Maps.

ry%3D400

and here is DS's page.

That's it for now.

I am totally stumped on the title for my next set of parade pages, so I am at a stand-still!

Thanks for looking!..................P

Great job, pjlla! I tend to have way too much journaling for our trips too, I usually have a "title/journal" page (2 pg LO, usually) for each park! Those are the ones I dread doing, but I do go back and read them later on.

Here's some of my first pages from our December trip. By the way, there's a hidden Mickey (or sometimes not so hidden Mickey. LOL) on each and every page of our Disney albums. See if you can find them all...

Pixlyyy, LOVE those pages! Can't express why but WOW. Simple but look fancy? Structural but embellished? WISH mine looked like that!

I totally agree! She just seemed to catch the essence of Disney! I would never have thought to make a scrap book page of the candy lady, the animation class or the pearl thingy, but I love all of these things! Of course now I'll be thinking along those lines for my next trips! I think I'll take pictures of the pearl jewelry we've made to include as a page. Or maybe a page of the 9,462 masks (ok it just seems that way) that my kids have made at EPCOT!!!

I love all of your pages... are they digital or traditional? Anyhow, do I recognize that tag on this page? Is it a hang-tag from something from the disney store? If so, I'm impressed. I saved a few from things we bought, but I couldn't really figure out what to do with. I've also noticed some cool fabric tags on some things there recently. I don't want to buy the items... I just want the tags!!

Thanks for sharing..... BTW, where is the hidden mickey on the Pearl page??..................P

Thanks! I appreciate the kind comments. I used to be really, really into scrapbooking and was published a lot, but I took a break from it so this is me getting back into the swing of scrapping again. Disney is such a great motivator!

Yes, the tag on the Mayan page is from a Disneystore tag. Nice catch. :thumbsup2

The hidden Mickey on the pearl page is actually punched from the same black patterned paper and added to the design... makes it more fun for my kids to find them if some are more hidden. Look about an inch above the "I" in "PICK".

Hi all, I am mostly a lurker on this board but had posted my scrapbook from my honeymoon last summer...well I'm working on our first anniversary trip now and would like to share my progress so far! I have definitely scraplifted from some very creative disers and made some my own. Also, I am loving using the Cricut to really personalize my book!

Enjoy:

Dacky041208 - Thank you for sahring. Absolutely love em! I really like the Epcot heat with all the shots in it. Very clever! TFS.

What a great way to use the index prints! I always just throw mine away, now I'll try to use them. TFS! Cute pages!

Thanks! It was a pain to cut them out but it was fun putting it all together! I used my cricut mat to set them up in the mickey head so that they didn't move all around...then i used painters tape to transfer to paper- saved a lot of time and frustration!

I wish I had enough Animal Kingdom index prints to fill the head for the AK page, but I just didn't take as many pictures in that park last yr.

Perhaps this summer :cool1:

Great layouts Dacky041208!! Thanks for posting- its nice to get ideas from others!! Love the index print one!:goodvibes

Great LO's Dacky and pixleyyy - I truly am inspired! :goodvibes

Unfortunately, I have loads of photos, papers and embellishments but just can't find the time to get my scrapbooks done. :guilty:
