The CC Guarantee Minus One Person?

This may be a ridiculous question, please bear with me.

If you book a reservation for 3 at one of the places....let's say....The California Grill...for 3 people and give your CC info as a guarantee, but only two of you show up for the reservation do they charge you because your whole booked party isn't dining and one of you is a no-show?

I know, I know. Stupid question. My brain isn't working this morning, I can't seem to wrap my head around this.

I am going solo and wanted a ressie at 'Ohana. I tried for one, but never got anything. I tried for 2 and found a ressie.

I made ADRs for seven people for our March trip. For a few of those meals, only 5 or 6 people came. We were never charged the $10 for those who didn't show.
