Thank goodness I have a mattress pad on top of it, stinker did it once before so I decided it was a good investment.

So, after I pull the bed apart and haul everything downstairs and start washing it, dh wants to know when I'm going to make the bed. I said when the stuff is done drying and if YOU want it done sooner go ahead, just make sure the cat is out of the room because the pad isn't on it. He gets huffy and wants to know how long ago the cat peed the bed.

As in "when did the cat pee the bed"? How the squawk should I know? Really?

Then, "how did I know he peed the bed"....um, because I walked into the bedroom and it stunk? WTHeck?? Are you insinuating I knew the cat peed the bed and in order to inconvenience you I left it there for a while? Ew.

I swear I have no idea what in the sam hill runs around in his head sometimes, but I'm about ready to slap him with a wet mop.:headache:

I know a cat, up close and personal, who peed the bed while I was in it.

I'm sorry, Fred. Have a drink.

THAT is funny. I'm sorry...it made my lol. I think it's tagworthy.

I also think I'll have that drink. Crabby went to be so all is good!:goodvibes

I'm sorry, I feel your pain.

Cat pee is the worst smell in the world-I don't even think skunk smells as bad (of course, I have never been up close and personal with a skunk, but have had the misfortune of smelling kitty pee way too much in my life).

I know you said you have a mattress topper, but you can also buy waterproof covers, as well. They are pretty cheap and well worth it, IMHO.

Sorry that really sucks. We keep our bedroom door close, because it has happen before when we lock a cat in there not knowing we leave and come back to a surprise :headache:. I bleach the mattress the only time it happen.

:teeth: Sorry. I'm just trying to make you laugh after all that. I came home after a long 16 hour day away and the cat had pooped in the bed. I had to strip everything down. I know how you feel.

Yes, men can be ridiculous and helpless at the most inane times.

My question is... What did you do to piss off the cat?

My cat has only done it once. I was a SAHM from the time we got her. And I went back to work part time in the evenings when she (and my eldest son) was about 4. She got very upset, and peed not on our bed, but on my pillow!

I think he's just gettin' old. I'm of the opinion that he peed in his sleep, as this is HIGHLY unusual for him. Who really knows tho...he could just be getting back at me for something I don't even remember.

Yes...what did you do. My dad's cat pees in his shoes everytime he goes away on business.:confused3

My cat pooped the couch today.

And, of course, the dog is having surgery today and we had to make sure she had an empty stomach. And, of course, the dog having surgery had to be the feces loving dog.

Luckily, I have been on full alert ever since 9pm last night, when she could last eat, and made it to the poo before she could.

DH and I are seriously considering having the cat put to sleep. He is older, and I think he is starting to suffer from dimentia. He poops and pees wherever he feels like it, and doesn't really use his litter box unless we put him in it. We are getting frustrated, and it is not like we can rehome him or anything.

It's sad.

On a plus note, I managed to make sure the dog didn't get anything to eat since 9pm last night! I didn't get any sleep, as I had one ear open all night, but she didn't eat!

Ugh. Cat pee is AWFUL. I'm glad we're done with litter trays, even that was too close to cat pee for comfort! Now all I have to deal with is removing bird carcasses from the doorstep

Men! :sad2::sad2: (are you wearing your heels?)

My cat will soon be 18. If we'd had one more month of cold weather, he'd have stopped at 17.5. He's always gone outside (pet door), but decided a few months ago that he no can no longer tolerate low temps. Peed in the closet (all over DH's shoes), in the fireplace, on the throw rugs, and so on. Set up a litter box but his highness wouldn't hear of it.

He's also decided in his old age that he likes to eat five kernels of food 20 times a day.

He's been with me through A LOT over the years, and I love him and will continue to care for him in his old age (including feeding him 20 times a day), but no more cats for me after this.

No, at the moment I'm wearing my red striped fuzzy socks. But I WAS thinking of putting on some steel toes there for a minute or two.:upsidedow

I had to respond to this one...I SO feel your pain. My old girl is 16. We also have a 10 month old kitten. Penelope (the kitten) was born into and was raised until 3 months with a house full of other cats and just wants to be near and mess with my old crotchety cat. Tigger has no tolerance. If Penelope gets upstairs....Tigger gets so offended she'll either puke on our floor, or pee on our bed. She only started the peeing thing recently. And has done it while we've been sleeping.:crazy2: I've had to bar the kitten from upstairs. And she KNOWS she isn't supposed to go up there, so the sneaky thing tries to circumvent the gate at every turn. I swear...we JUST take apart the bed, wash everything and put it back together...and Miss Priss gets it in her head that hey....doesn't smell like me anymore....let's pee on my owners again. Oy.

Love them both to death...DH however has been plotting to make fur rugs out of them. Really small fur rugs.

DON'T use bleach it attracts them use white vinegar and also wash it in a detergent that has oxides in it.....they also say do not bleach the cat box either for what reason I do not know since it attracts them....

I would venture to guess your DH might have done something to draw the wrath of said kitty cat. Could it be that your DH took his spot? Made kitty move? Blocked the sun from his favorite spot? Obviously some displeasure has taken place.

He have a new puppy and I swear my cat has been giving me the evil eye since the interloper was allowed to join our home:rotfl: The first time they met 18 year old mush cat slapped the puppy across the face (declawed) and now puppy stays clear. I have been giving him treats and feeding him his favorite food because I'm a little scared of what he is capable of doing when I'm not looking... nothing worse than a kitty with a grudge.

We have a grudge holding kitty (GHK) in our midst also. He is 4, we got a puppy in June of last year. GHK HATES the puppy. Said puppy is not allowed upstairs in GHK's territory, but, this still doesn't make GHK happy. Shortly after arrival of puppy, GHK started peeing on the floor in the bathroom, right in front of his litter boxes. I think he is finally letting his grudge go, he is using the boxes BUT has started a new bad habit, he sits on demon puppy's crate in the night and teases him. So,,,,,, GHK is still at work :)

I LOVE MY GHK!
