The Castle's Mirror is up!

The picture in the mirror is of Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty castle. There's a picture of Disneyland's castle on WDW's castle because it's Disneyland's 50th anniversary.

Anyway, maybe they should have made the mirror a little smaller. It is quite big.

Safetymom has pictures of the cake castle. Look back on this thread and you'll see where she posted maybe a page or two ago, and look at her top link in her signature. She has a picture page and look for one of the anniversary links towards the top of the page you click to and you'll see it!

Thank you so much. It does look amusing (trying to be nice). It looks like something from the Candy Land game. :rotfl2:

:cheer2: Love it, much better then the cake castle. Can't wait to see it this summer.

What is the purpose of the mirror? Does it do anything?

And does anyone have any more recent pics?

I found this on the press release from All ears.net about the castle and what the mirror is supposed to do

Above the castle's front arch will hang an enormous golden frame that holds a magical stained glass-style window. In it, colorful images of the five iconic castles from Disney theme parks around the world will appear at regular intervals throughout the day.

I love the gold, mirror's cool for temporary, and I second the emotions about the god-awful hat blocking the chinese theater and less-so the decorations on Epcot. I hope they take that hat *down*!
Aloha!

I have never seen the castle in person....but....I love the gold spirals, the characters are OK because they are not huge, but that mirror OMG it is hideous...I wanted to cry when I looked at it...I am going april and that is going to ruin EVERY shot of the castle I get....

I think it looks much better in person. Wait till you get there to decide if you like it.

i won't pass complete judgement on it...YET... I just loved that the castle was so elegant and Really what princess in her right mind wants a giant Mirror on the outside of her castle??!!LOL

Oh thanks for the photo! I watched as they were gradually adding the guilded characters--first Kaa,then the three gargoyles from HBND, Flounder, Pumba, Sebastian--than I had to come back home. I can't wait to get there in July and see it all finished! :cool1:
