The Castle in Magic Kingdom

I heard the majority of the decorations have been removed, which is disappointing. Does anyone have a recent photo? Is the Mirror still up? For how much longer?

The mirror was still up on Wednesday but most everything else was gone if I remember correctly.

I'm actually hoping that the decorations are gone! I was there in May and I'm hoping that my September trip pictures look different than the May ones!

It appears like it.

I dont see them doing anything intresting with the Castle again for quite awhile perhaps when it is their 40th for the Magic Kingdom. Which is in 2011.

They are building a suite inside for the YOAMD and I also heard they are freshining up the paint and so forth.

Yeah but come on, a paint job? Disney can do much better than that. I guess we have to get use to the plain ole castle again!

I liked the gold decorations but hated that stupid mirror thing. I really thought that took away from the castle. Besides it was just promoting the other parks. All I see in my pictures down mainstreet is that mirror with a castle behind it!!! They really could have taken that down and left the rest.

I really hope the mirror is removed before next week. As much as I loved the HCOE decorations, I really look forward to seeing the castle in its original glory!

I did not like the castle decorations. To me,it looked like a cake decorator went wild on acid-tackiest I've ever seen the castle look since 1973-and yes,I'm including the sugar plum cupcake or whatever that was from the 1990s!
