Welp, here we are…..again…..planning our first family trip to CA. Last attenmpt was 2019, and we all know what happened next.
I have never been to the west coast, so we are going to have to do a few tourist things before DL.
Its a short trip, but here is the plan. Suggested changes and comments are welcome and encouraged.
August 2022
Saturday : Arrive LAX , hopefully by 2pm. We rented a place in BelAir (3pm). We figure to goto Rodeo , maybe look at a few houses or neighborhoods near there and the Hills. Then dinner somewhere in that area, at a nice resturant? (Suggestions?)
Sunday: Drive to El Matador for a morning dip in the Pacific.
See the Pacific coast Highway, stop in Malibu for lunch.
Drive back perhaps stopping in Santa Monica Peir for some quck pictures and a short walk in the area.
Early Dinner?(Suggestions) Then drive to Griffith Park Observatory, weather permitting for sunset and night LA photos. (alternative weather plans?)
Monday: Check out.
Goto Petersons Auto Museum (2hrs), Maybe then the Tar Pits? We then travel to Anahiem for DL! Checking at 3pm. (is that a good AM timing before the drive?)
Eat at Lamplight lounge early dinner 4-5pm?
If WOC is up and going attenpt a viewing and or Goto Carsland at night to see the neons and ride RSR.
Tuesday: DL rope drop…..all day at DL. Sit down Lunch break 1-2 Trader Sams? See Blue Bayou/Fantastic (dinner package?) and fireworks, GE nightime till close (Oga’s)
Wed: All day DCA. Sit down dinner? Italian? WOC again? Other Shows?
Thursday: Back at DL, Rope Drop GE for morning tour. Savi’s workshop. Big Lunch?
Tour, End with Main Street Electrical Parade and Fireworks. Close the park.
Friday: Drive from Anaheim back to LAX for late morning early evening flight.
Be sad it all over…..
