What's the lastest about viewing Wishes from the CG? If we eat there, will that allow us on the viewing platform?

We were there last month and had a great seat right at the window. You can go out to the viewing ledge if you are dining at the restaurant. You have to take a seperate elevator to the restaurant, so I don't think that the general public can be on the viewing ledge. There is no music to the fireworks piped in the restaurant as in the past. I see your from Malverne, I have family there and I live in Glen Cove, pretty close!!

Does anyone have an update on this? Is there no music for sure on the viewing ledge? What about inside the restaurant?

I know Narcoossee's had the music piped in...

Ate there saturday night, the music was piped in but not very loud--kitchen kept working and because lights weren't dimmed many in non-window seats didnt' even realize fireworks were ongoing at the time.

we were there at the end of oct and the music was piped in loud enough for us to hear and the lights were also dimmed. maybe they have changed it since then but it wasnt that long ago :flower1:

We were there 01-01-05 and we couldn't hear the music inside so we went outside. There was music outside and it was at a good level.

How crowded was it on the viewing platform? I've been there when it was four people deep. Has the new PS policy had an effect on the viewing platform crowds during Wishes?

Whats the new PS seating policy

Did you go outside?
No, we were there to eat, and in the middle of dinner. Not about to let a good meal go cold to se fireworks. Priorities, ya know? :)

It changed a few weeks ago. They no longer dim the lights and play the soundtrack at a louder volume.

Now that they don't let people not dining there upstairs anymore, the outside viewing area is quite manageable.

It's not the PS policy that's changed, just the way people are seated. You now check in on teh 2nd floor and are held there until your table is ready. If there is no table/bar seat for you, you are not allowed up.

Much more enjoyable now that the place isn't over run with people looking for a "free show".

Thanks, Anne! I look forward to a wonderful meal at CG, and viewing Wishes on the platform. :D

Of course you could time a boat ride across the lagoon and enjoy the fireworks, or a relaxing after dinner drink on the the beach of the Poly...I think the boat pipes in music, but not sure.
