The Bush Apologist Thread

This thread is only for Bush Apologists. If you want to bash Bush, please start your own thread. This isn’t the place for it.

This thread is safe ground for Bush Apologists to discuss strategies and tactics we use to justify the actions of our favorite President. Now, I will remind you that it isn’t our place as Bush Apologists to question why our President does the things he does. There are lots of critical thinkers out there, so that’s the last thing we need from Apologists. Our job is to validate the actions of this government no matter what it does.

I bring this point up because I have noticed a pattern lately where some Bush Apologists have decided to think for themselves. As Rush has explained to us many times, thinking for ourselves is always dangerous. As usual Rush is correct. Some Bush Apologists who have decided to think for themselves are now actually criticizing Bush and his government.

This is a shocking turn of events. A turn of events that has me and other Bush Apologists completely discombobulated. Not knowing what to do we have been eagerly watching Sean Hannity every night for direction. Thankfully this has helped somewhat I have resumed my role as an unthinking foot soldier in the Bush Apologist army.

For instance, just the other day I heard a neighbor saying he disagreed with Bush’s choice of his personal lawyer for the Supreme Court. Immediately I went to work. With a little digging I found out that this man is a veteran who served in the Marines during the first Gulf War. With this knowledge in hand I confided to my other neighbors that this gentlemen may have served, but in all likelihood any medals he received were the result of lies and half truths he told his superiors. You know, just like Senator Kerry did in the Vietnam War. Thanks go out to Karl Rove and his Swiftvets for this strategy. Try it yourself sometime, trashing someone’s service record is a remarkably efficient way to destroy their reputation. I’m pretty sure my neighbor will think twice before he criticizes our president again.

Oh, I’m also looking for a good way to destroy Senator McCain’s character. I don’t know about the rest of you Bush Apologists, but I’m finding it difficult to counter the claims that Bush’s administration is responsible for torture. So if any you have any ideas, please post them here.

President Bush needs us Apologists more than ever right now. It's too bad that many of Bush's most ardent Apologists have decided to forsake our holy cause and actually question some of President Bush’s actions. This is very unfortunate and I have it on good authority that these traitors will be suitably dealt with through innuendo and rumors.

In the meantime, though, this has left us Bush Apologists a little light on manpower. So if you are a Bush Apologist and you have an easily swayed heterosexual friend who has shown a past willingness to defend indefensible points of view, please consider recruiting them to our cause.

Here’s some breaking news that has just come down the Bush Apologist wire. All you Apologist will want to pay close heed to the following announcement:

President George W Bush (America’s Savior in Chief), has been alarmed lately at the criticism his administration is receiving over out of control spending and record deficits. Let the record show that President Bush mostly supports the right of Americans to criticize their government. But in this instance the naysayers have gone too far and must be stopped from spreading their dangerous untruths.

President Bush is only following the example of Ronald Reagan when he regularly approves massive increases in government spending. You see, many people are under the mistaken impression that President Reagan was opposed to big government. President Bush wants everyone to know that this is a lie – and if that wasn't bad enough, it was a liberal lie. The truth is that Ronald Reagan was always an ardent supporter of increasing the size of the federal government through huge increases in domestic spending. The reason people don’t know this is that many prominent Hollywood liberals deliberately spread untrue stories about President Reagan's so-called affinity for smaller government and lower spending. It has also been reported that many of these Hollywood liberals are either homosexual or have spent an inordinate amount of time in France. It goes without saying that these people cannot be trusted.

So remember Bush Apologists, the conservative movement in this country is founded on big government and huge deficits – just like Ronald Reagan wanted it. President Bush deserves praise for his fearless fight to maintain solid Republican values in the face of liberal untruths and lies.​

Quick update for all Bush Apologists:

When arguing with a liberal America hater over President Bush’s actions in office, never despair if things begin to go badly. No matter what your opponent says you can always counter with the fact that Bush is not Clinton.

I bring this up now in the light of certain grand jury indictments in order to dispel any parallels between the scandals of the Bush administration and the scandals of the Clinton administration. Many Bush Apologists are already reporting that they have had to face this question. Have no fear though as I have been personally assured by people high up in the Vice Presidents office that no such parallels exist. If still in doubt Bush Apologists should feel free to refer to the following talking points:

1. Committing perjury so your wife doesn’t find about an affair is an evil and unforgivable sin.
2. Committing perjury so people won’t find out that you and your boss deliberately leaked classified information that potentially put one of America’s intelligence operatives in harms way is an act of profound patriotism.
