One of my best friends just called me from the WL. She and her boyfriend are at Disney having a blast.

She went on the DVC tour today at SSR. Apparently, the rep gave a hard sell.

Anyway my friend and I have went to the WL for a few trips back in our grad school days. She's the one who got me hooked on the WL.

She wants to buy at the VWL because the WL is her home on Disney property.

She plans to go through resale for the VWL and will start looking seriously when she gets home.

I'm going to have her read this thread to psych her up. (As if more is possible she's already pretty pumped up about this).

Please join me in welcoming her as a serious future buyer to VWL.

Welcome home (almost)! Sounds like it won't be long before we welcome you home for real. Good luck on your search for a resale at VWL. If you have any questions, this is the best place to ask them, there is a whole lot of people here who are very willing to help.

If your frient is planning to buy a DVC membership in her own name, fine. If her "boyfriend" is paying for the membership then it should be in his name. If they are planning to get married in the near future they can risk buying the property jointly in both their names. If they are just living together they should avoid having propery in joint names. That can cause a lot of problems.
