The Brickers' WDW Honeymoon Trip Report

PS Where does Sarah buy all those cute dresses? They were awesome, also

You totally read my mind!! :rotfl: I wanted to ask where she got the red one with thinner straps as well as the white and pink with the ruffle around the neck but thought that may be weird....:rolleyes1

I'm glad we're not the only ones who do this.

Awesome report! Looks like you had a great time :goodvibes

PS Where does Sarah buy all those cute dresses? They were awesome, also

She gets her dresses from Dillards, Von Maur, Saks Fifth Avenue, and J.Crew.

EDIT: Apparently 2 also came from Express, one came from Ideeli, and one came Gilt (the last two are online sample sale sites). For those who aren't aware, Sample Sales are discounted invite-only sample sale sites that sell nice clothing and products (think Saks, Neiman Marcus, etc.). They are all legitimate retailers of said products (not like some New York street corner selling knock-off Louis Vutton purses). Their offerings rotate frequently and most usually sell out within a few hours. We've saved a LOT of money buying through these sites rather than the mall. Here are our favorites ranked in descending order:
#1 - Gilt Groupe/Gilt Man
#2 - Rue La La
#3 - HauteLook
#4 - Ideeli (mostly women's stuff)
#5 - Beyond the Rack

Tom-
Congratulations on your wedding. I loved your TR. I really admire your talent both behind the camera and in the editing as well.

I had so many questions while reading and now I can't remember most of them. Some were answered in your blog post on wdwphotography-excellent!

Was your camera perpendicular to the ground on a tripod for the grauman/hat/Tom & Sarah pic?-I loved that one and am so intrigued by how you got that shot.

Loved the Splash mountain one you posted today. I want to make my pictures so clear and sharp. I have a long way to go to get anywhere near your talent.

Thanks for taking the time to share.

For the BAH picture, the camera was perpendicular to the ground, yes.

You totally read my mind!! :rotfl: I wanted to ask where she got the red one with thinner straps as well as the white and pink with the ruffle around the neck but thought that may be weird....:rolleyes1

She said she got the first one at Dillard's and the second one at Von Maur.

Tom,

Great pictures! I thought your TR was fantastic. Quick question if you don't mind - which ND filter did you wind up going with, and what lens do you typically use it on?

Thanks,

Scott

Congrats Honeymooners!!! Always love your pictures and the report was a fun read.

I was also dying to know the same thing. I know the Tokina 11mm - 16mm needs a 77mm size and the "kit" lenses for the D90 use 52mm. Did you have multiple filters to fit different lenses, just use the ND on 1 lens or was there some other rig that I am missing?

Also was your ND filter adjustable like this one? http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/676812-REG/Genus_GL_GNDF_52_52mm_ND_Neutral_Density.html

75 seconds is a long time for fireworks with out blowing out the castle. You are a real magician!

Thanks for the great Trip report and good luck with the Bar exam. I am keeping my eyes crossed for you. It's actually helping my photography too!

I got the B+W 77mm 1.8 filter: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/8087-REG/B_W_65_066534_77mm_106_Neutral_Density.html

I also bought step down rings for my other lenses (they were like $2 each shipped from eBay--I have no clue how Hong Kong sellers make money selling stuff this cheap after eBay fees, costs of production, and shipping).
