It's 3 months early, but like the commercial says, "I'm too excited to sleep!"

So...here is our cast of characters:

Me-25-Disney nut from the start. Favorite movie of all time is Mary Poppins. Grew up on Disney and have never looked back. Bought into DVC a few years ago after college and can't wait to enjoy each and every vacation in the World for the rest of my grown life.

DisMom-51-Another Disney nut from the start. Grew up watching Uncle Walt with her family around the only color TV on the block. Stayed at the Poly for her Honeymoon and traveled WDW pregnant at least twice.

DisDad-51-Converted Disney nut. He considers himself a big cheese and was convinced to buy into DVC as well.

DisAunt-49-Getting to be a Disney nut. This will be her second ever trip to the world. Is really getting in to planning.

DisUncle-48-Not a big Disney fan but will do anything to keep his family happy. Great guy, amazing artist and willing to travel the World with his crazy boys.

DisWill-10-Becoming more and more a Disney fan. Loves the Pixar films and is figuring out what he really likes and dislikes.

DisJoe-7-Funniest kid on the planet. Little adult in a kid'd body. Likes to visit Disney World, wishes there was a ride for his favorite movie, Cars.

With that, here are the nitty gritty details...

DisAunt, DusUncle, DisWill and DisJoe are all staying at All Star Movies. They stayed there on their first visit to the world, two years ago. The boys loved the themes and would not be happy staying anywhere else.

DisMom, DisDad and I will be using my BCV points to stay in a studio. After the whole family leaves I will be staying a little longer in the Boardwalk Villas in a studio on my own.

We've never stayed at BCV or BWV so this will be a new experience for us. We're all VERY excited. Well, all except the boys that is. You see, while DisAunt and I have been planning this for the past year or so, the boys have no idea they are going. We have gotten the tickets, ME, the hotel, everything figured out and they have not once figured out the plan. Right now, DisAunt and DisUncle are trying to decide how to tell the boys. They want to surprise them, but they haven't decided how to tell them or when.

When my DisBrother and I were younger, out parents surprised us with a trip to the World while we were at the airport. This was obviously pre-9/11, but we were able to escort my parents to the gate of "their plane". You see, my DisAunt was supposed to be taking care of us for a week while my parents went to Tahoe for a vacation celebrating their anniversary. We had everything packed for our week with DisAunt and we went to the airport with my parents. When we approached the airport, my DisDad dropped us off while he parked the car, checked the luggage and checked us all in for the flight. We met him at McDonald's for breakfast. After we ate, we went with my parents to their gate. At the gate, my parents gave us each an envelope of money that was supposed to last us a week with my DisAunt. When we opened the envelope we saw Disney Dollars. My DisMom asked me where I could spend the Disney Dollars. I said The Disney Store. Then she asked where else I could spend the money. I told her The Disney Store at the Mall of America. Then my dad pointed to the gate and asked me where the plane was going. I saw that it said Orlando and I screamed. I was SOOOO excited. We sat in our seats on the plane and about halfway through the trip my brother asked me where we were going. He was still a bit confused. A lot for a 6 year old to handle. But, it was the best secret and surprise my parents ever pulled off.

So, with that in mind, we are trying to figure out how and when to surprise the boys with their trip in May.

I've got one surprise already set-up that no one knows about...we've got a big stretch Hummer picking us up at our house for a ride to the airport. It's not a huge surprise, but it'll be a good way to start the trip.

Ok...up next, the tickets, the days, the plans, and the ADRs.

kkmauch, I'm jealous...hope you can pull off the surprise! I always wanted to get the girls in the car and let them think we are going to their least favorite place (Home Depot) and then keep driving on to the airport...but I could never keep the secret!
Can't wait to hear more about your family vacation...we are going with extended family, too!

Next chapter:
The tickets, the days, the plans and the ADRs.

The last time that I was at WDW was in October. My DisAunt and DisUncle are not quite the fanatical about Disney so the last time that they were there was two summers ago.

So, we did a little digging around, thought about the package they booked last time (park hopper and water park options with 14 day expiration and dining), and decided on the following:
7 Day park hopper tickets with water park and more options, 14 day expiration and NO dining.

My parents will be buying the same tickets, just the 6 day version as they will be leaving early on the last day.

I have a Premium Annual Pass that will come up for renewal on our second day at the parks. I will be renewing that ticket for my trip in May and future trips in the year to come.

On a side note, we used Maple Leaf to buy the tickets for everyone. I kept an eye on when ticket prices were going up and we bought the park tickets back in August to avoid the price increase. We saved a considerable amount of money for my parents and my DisAunts family.

The plans...
I have a detailed list of plans including where we will be each day and where we will be eating. In addition, I have tour plans for each of the parks on each of the days. Now, being the over planner that I am, I will be the only person that actually read and follows the tour plans. However, I will make them available should anyone else like to read them on the plane ride down. I know that my extended family is not overly keen on mapping out each and every step, but I think it will save us all time and effort to have things at least in a general order. I'd like to make sure that they see everything that they want to see while they are there.

I will post the specifics of each day later tonight, but the plan is to hit a park at opening, go back for the afternoon to swim, nap, shower, etc, then head back into the parks for dinner and extra magic hours.

The plan also includes plenty of time at TL as my youngest cousin REALLY enjoys the "lazy pool". We will be doing some shopping at DTD and also will be sure to hit Raglan Road. I lived in Ireland for a while in college and my DisAunt and DisUncle traveled to Ireland for two weeks a couple of years ago. So, we need to be sure to spend at least one night visiting.

More to post later...

I know it's been a while. But, I've been trying to work out the plan...

So...DisAunt, Uncle, and the boys all have 7 day park hoppers with pluses so they can go to the water parks. DisMom and DisDad have 6 park hoppers with pluses and I have an AP.
