I will be on the dining plan and have ADR's to eat here in December.
My question: How does the dining plan work with the 'sides'?
Does everyone pick a side for the table to share?

Nope. You will only get whatever comes plated with your entree. If you want a side, you'll have to pay OOP.

On the DDP at any TS restaurant where you order from a menu you get everything that is included in the description of the entree. Further down on the menu many restaurants will have a separate section called "Sides" or "Accompaniments" or "Enhancements" which are additional items with separate price points. If you order any of these items they are not included in the dining plan and will have to be paid for out of pocket.

Thank you for the replies. Looks like I'll be canceling as I'm not going to pay for sides OOP especially when it is a 2 TS plan.
