what view should I ask for if I want to see the fireworks at night? would it be the same as baordwalk view or standard view? Whats the difference>?

turningleaf-first of all way to go on picking a fabulous resort:thumbsup2 We love staying @ the BWI-CL. We are heading there in 2 wks. To answer your questions. The walk over to the BC/YC is about a 5-7 walk. The Innkeepers Club can get busy during the 6-10 am and 5-7pm. Then again after Illuminations is over as people are coming back to their room and like to stop off and get desert and a drink. Yes children are welcomed. I know they have milk in the big containers but to be honest I have never seen them in small cartons. Maybe someone else can answer that question for you. The Innkeeprs lounge opens at 6:30 with breakfast being served @ 7. We love going around that time as it is a nice time to get to know the Cast.

Thanks nascargirl! What is available at the Innkeepers Club during in- between times? Are beverages available?

1. How long does it take to walk to BC/YC from BWI? Is it better to walk or take the boat?
2. How busy does it get at the Innkeepers Club.
3. We have a DD4 with us. Will young children be welcome at CL? I've never stayed CL and though she is very well behaved I'm a bit intimidated. Do they have milk in small containers available, that I can take to the room without feeling like I'm mooching, or should I bring my own and store in the room fridge?
4. How early is breakfast served? We hit the parks first thing, I'm wondering whether breakfast here will be doable or we should just go with Boardwalk Bakery which I read opens at 6.30. In which case we shouldn't do CL.
5. Is the Luna Park pool slide open now?

Many thanks in advance!

1) The walk takes about 5 minutes to the Beach Club and add on another 2 - 3 minutes going to the Yacht Club.

2) It depends on the type of season it is. For example last August we didn't it was that busy however last December we thought there was more people, especially during breakfast and the hot food offerings at 5:00 PM.

3) Children are welcome in the Club Level lounges, just make sure you watch her at all times and get whatever foods she wants to eat. However they didn't have Milk in any little containers.

4) Breakfast in the Innkeepers Club Level lounge is from 7:00 AM - 10:30 AM.

5) Yes the slide at Luna Park is re-opened.

Hello!:goodvibes
My family and I are heading down to the BWI two weeks from Saturday! Coming with me will be my husband, DD20, DD17, DD9, and my mom. It will be my moms first visit, and we will be celebrating DD17's high school graduation!
We will be staying in a deluxe club level room. We love the BWI, and have stayed there a number of times. If there is anything that anyone wants me to watch for while I am there, please let me know. I may be posting while I am there, but I'm not sure yet. I will for sure do a full report upon our return!

The last time I was there I might have not seen it listed but at the Boardwalk Bakery can you please see if they sell a Ceasar Salad or a Chicken Ceasar Salad for sale.

turningleaf-the lounge is open from 6:30am-10pm. Yes beverages are available during that time. If you don't see something that you think they may have, please ask them. The CM are very approachable and are very willing to help their guests.

Thank you CR Resort Fan! I appreciate your answers, which are always prompt and precise! You always answer my questions in the CR thread too, I just wanted to say thanks for that. We are trying to book at split stay at BWI and CR this time. At CR we prefer to stay in the Garden Wing and be closer to the pool, but I was considering doing CL for the BWI portion. Still debating on that part bec I think I may prefer to have a confirmed Water View Room non CL instead of taking my chances on a CL request.

turningleaf- forgot to mention that once breakfast is done for the day. Starting @ 11:30-4 is snack time. They have out cookies, fish crackers, homemade potato chips(yum), nuts, soda, lemonade, ice tea, soda. During the 5-7 pm they have hot appetizers from Kat Cora, cheese and crackers, crustables for the kids, vegs and dip, humus, beer, wine, soda.

Well the only way you can make sure you get a Water View when staying Club Level is to reserve their Deluxe Room, because all of those rooms come with a Boardwalk view and you can see Cresent Lake. Now the negatives are them being more expensive then their Standard Club Level Rooms and they only have 10 Deluxe Rooms, so they are very hard to reserve if they are sold out for your dates.

Also if it helps this past December when we stayed Club Level we reserved their Standard Club Level Room since the Deluxe Room was sold out and requested a Boardwalk view. Well we were lucky enough that our request came through and we were in room #4223.

Yes, I will put that on my list as to what to look for.:goodvibes. I will let you know what I get home. We come back May 18th!

I know others have answered but just wanted to add a few thoughts. I stayed CL at BWI last May and last July and am booked for this May and August.

Last May I was there with just my DS(9 at the time) and in July with DH, DDs(11 & 7) and DS. Kids are welcome and my children really enjoyed talking with the CL CM's. In May the lounge was virtually empty but in July things were busier. It was a bit harder to find a table for 5 at times but not so crazy busy that it was a huge inconvenience for us.

Coffee is available at 6:30am and breakfast at 7am. That was always early enough for us to make rope drop. Milk was in large dispensers in the morning but I don't think we ever requested it at any other times. I would guess they would have it on request-I don't think we ever asked which is odd since my kids drink a lot of milk at home.

We are heading there in 2 wks.
:yay:See you there! I'm going with 2 friends this time to celebrate a big birthday. I had to book a summer family trip so I could enjoy my adult trip and not feel too guilty about leaving the kids at home.

See you there too!:cool1:

Last May I was in a garden view room and in July I was in a BW view room. The BW view room is nice but the garden view rooms are really nice too. You can see parts of Illuminations from the garden view CL rooms. I really enjoy the CL service at BWI so it I would rather be guaranteed CL service than a BW view.

lovesdumbo-what are your dates for the BWI? DH and I are bringing my Mom. This will be her first CL stay. We will arrive on the evening of 5/12 and checking out on the 17th. Would love to say HI if you are there.:thumbsup2

We're thinking about staying at the BWI in January. We have two kids, one will be 8 and the other 11 months.

I'm thinking we will just book a standard room because I'm afraid a BW view would be too noisy. Are there "good" standard view rooms or are they all of the parking lot?

They sure will! My grandson had a ball picking what he wanted. The one I ordered a couple weeks ago was to celebrate 10 years of traveling to Disney with my friends, our annual girls trip. When I called they went through everything with me. They will make suggestions for you and give you ideas.

Do you remember how much the cake cost? We have so many celebrations this and I'd like to include them all in one cake or possibly get 3 small cakes for each birthday and 1 welcome home. Thanks!

5/11 to 5/18. I will be there with 2 friends/coworkers. BWI is new to both of them. Work has been incredibly stressful for the 3 of us so we are all very much looking forward to this trip. They both went to CR CL with me for a way too short 3 night stay and one friend has been to Poly CL with me several times but I know they are both going to really love BWI CL!!! I'm sure your Mom will love it too-what's not to love?

Have you read about Pixar weekend at Epcot that weekend? Looks cool! I was feeling a bit bad about my DS who is a HUGE Pixar fan missing out but he seems OK with it and I'll just have to take lots of photos and buy him something from the "exclusive" merchandise.

It seems like things will be busier than I'm used to when I usually go the first week of May. Park hours have been extended and BWI is sold out for my dates. I'm not too worried-we'll still have a blast-maybe spend a bit more time relaxing in the lounge then the crowded parks.:thumbsup2

We had a standard room that faced Epcot - we could see the Eiffel Tower in France and had a pretty good view of the fireworks from Illuminations.

I just noticed you're from Bethlehem. One of my friends going on the trip grew up there. My SIL was a minister in Bethlehem and my friend's parents were member of her church. "It's a Small World".

Thanks, lovesdumbo! If we go for it, I think I'll just bring my own milk - my DD drinks it like water!

Thanks again everyone who replied to my post, you've all been so very kind and patient!
