We have a reservation for the Around the World Segway tour at Epcot. Our tour starts at 8:30...we were told to be at the main entrance by about 8 to allow time to get checked in by 8:15. Since it's before the park opens, will we need to take a taxi from BWI, or will we be able to enter through the International Gateway and walk to the front?
The Cast Members International Gateway entrance will have a list of those with early ADR's for breakfast in Norway and the various tours, so you will be able to enter from there without any problems. There should be a specifc line that says guests for early breakfast and tours, so look for that and incase you don't see it just ask.

I just booked a standard view room for the 5 of us for June 26 thru July 5. I was looking at the pictures of the daybeds do they fold out? My 12yr old is the one who does not like to share a bed, but she is 5'10" will she fit on it? Thanks for the help she is turning 13 on this trip and just trying to figure out the sleeping plans.
Also can I order a special birthday cake from the Boardwalk bakery to be delivered to the room on July 4 for her birthday or do we just need to pick it up? Thanks again

Thanks! I don't mind the walk, I just wanted to make sure we could get in! If we leave the hotel by 7:35-7:40, will that allow us enough time to walk to the front of Epcot?

That should be enough time because the International Gateway entrance is 5 minutes from the Boardwalk.

We ordered the Mickey cake from the bakery for a birthday while there.....they do want you to order a cake with 24 hour notice. We just went and picked it up on the date we requested, since the bakery is right outside Boardwalk's door.

Was just the coaster slide refurbished at the Boardwalk Inn?

Thanks much!:cool1:

Yes the slide reopened during our visit in March - I think the 16th or 17th... Before that we could go over to the Beach Club. We're going back in 9 days!! YAY!!

I have ordered a few special cakes from the BW Bakery, the latest being just a couple weeks ago. I ordered through the cake hotline and was transferred to in room dining at the BWI.Tthey are wonderful to work with. They will ask what time you want the cake delivered and will set it up in your room. They also give you a candle and matches. The cakes are so good and beautifully made. You will have your choice of flavors and frosting. Sandy, one of the chefs at the bakery is awesome!! I stopped in to tell her how great my cake was and she was so pleased.

Last June we celebrated my grandson's 9th birthday at the BWI and he planned exactly what he wanted with the baker. The cake was huge, so we shared it with other guests and cast members up in the Innkeeper's club.

Does anyone know if you can use a Counter Service credit at the BW Bakery for breakfast or does everything count as a snack?

I want to order a cake for my kids graduation, but I have no idea what I want, do they work with you if you are clueless?

They sure will! My grandson had a ball picking what he wanted. The one I ordered a couple weeks ago was to celebrate 10 years of traveling to Disney with my friends, our annual girls trip. When I called they went through everything with me. They will make suggestions for you and give you ideas.

I finally did it! I couldn't help it any longer.

I changed our ressie to BWI. I have changed so many times, but I got it right this time. This is the one I wanted since before my honeymoon....5 years ago.

We're going Oct. 26-30, standard room. Sooo psyched!

I hope you have a great time staying there. :thumbsup2

1. How long does it take to walk to BC/YC from BWI? Is it better to walk or take the boat?
2. How busy does it get at the Innkeepers Club.
3. We have a DD4 with us. Will young children be welcome at CL? I've never stayed CL and though she is very well behaved I'm a bit intimidated. Do they have milk in small containers available, that I can take to the room without feeling like I'm mooching, or should I bring my own and store in the room fridge?
4. How early is breakfast served? We hit the parks first thing, I'm wondering whether breakfast here will be doable or we should just go with Boardwalk Bakery which I read opens at 6.30. In which case we shouldn't do CL.
5. Is the Luna Park pool slide open now?

Many thanks in advance!

turningleaf-first of all way to go on picking a fabulous resort:thumbsup2 We love staying @ the BWI-CL. We are heading there in 2 wks. To answer your questions. The walk over to the BC/YC is about a 5-7 walk. The Innkeepers Club can get busy during the 6-10 am and 5-7pm. Then again after Illuminations is over as people are coming back to their room and like to stop off and get desert and a drink. Yes children are welcomed. I know they have milk in the big containers but to be honest I have never seen them in small cartons. Maybe someone else can answer that question for you. The Innkeeprs lounge opens at 6:30 with breakfast being served @ 7. We love going around that time as it is a nice time to get to know the Cast.
