I would like to know the same thing. Also, which floor is the lounge on?

Thanks!

The lounge is on the 4th floor. The deluxe concierge rooms are on the 3rd & 4th floor. I do not know how far the standard rooms are from the lounge but I'm sure someone else will.

Thank you jjohnson. I am off to shovel some more snow....I wish we were going tomorrow. :headache: I am getting a little irritated with mother nature right now.

The standard rooms on the club level are located on the 4th floor. They all have a view of the back gardens and quiet pool. There are some non-deluxe rooms that have a BW view. The deluxe rooms are larger and sleep 6. I have had both deluxe and standard rooms. this is by far my favorite resort./

KerryCM: Thanks for the information. I am so glad to hear that this is your favorite resort.

One thing that seems nice about it is that it is a bit smaller than the other ones. Some of the resorts just seem so huge, it would take me the entire vacation to figure out where everything is. You know, golfers don't like to count to high numbers. :rotfl:

I have never made plans this far in advance, it is just going to drive me nuts waiting for months. Actually, it is going to drive my family nuts to have me planning this out for 9 months

Golfing Goofy:

You've already had your questions answered, but I wanted to add another positive comment. In our opinion, there is no concierge level on disney property that compares to BWI. The cast there is the best. We've stayed concierge at 4 other resorts, and no one comes close to their service and friendliness. The evening cast members, in particular, welcome you as if you are family.

Golfing Goofy:

The walk to the lounge is very quick. Not to far at all. The Lounge is a wonderful place to watch Illuminations You miss some of the action, but have a glass of wine and some dessert and who cares.:lmao: If you have any other questions regarding Club Level, feel free to ask away. We will not stay anywhere else on Disney Property.:lovestruc We are looking forward to our trip back on May 19, 2008:thumbsup2

Personally, my favorite is Polynesian:love:

I have to agree with pixiechick about the cast. They really are so welcoming. Thay all go above and beyond for their guest. They have become a second family to me and my family. Enjoy your trip and planning

Everyone, thanks for all of your help. I am learning something new all the time.

pixiechick: I really like the fact that they are friendly. We have stayed in hotels all over the place (never WDW), but the worst feeling is when they look at the kids and say, "great, you have kids." Of course, I doubt that happens anywhere in the WDW, since most people come with their kids, but friendliness is really important to good service, imo.

nascargirl: I didn't know that you can see illuminations from there. :cool1: That will make it so nice and relaxing! I hope you have a wonderful trip in May. How far in advance did you make your plans? Have you been waiting a long time?

jjohnson : Is the Poly by the MK or epcot? I am still waiting to get my unofficial guide book. I hope it has a good map, because it is such a pain to try to find all these places on-line at wdw.com. I have trouble with their map.:headache:

KerryCM: I am having such a blast with all of this planning. This is so different from our DL trips. We just show up and see everything in a couple of days. Don't get me wrong, I love DL, but I have wanted to go to WDW for many decades.

And to think, one week ago, it wasn't snowing and I had no plans to go to WDW. Then we got a huge storm, I was stuck in doors, kids had multiple snow days, and I found the dis boards. Now we are going to WDW. :woohoo: Oh, and of course, dh agreed to the plans.

A story for you. We were there last weekend for a quick trip. One night, in the lounge, there was a little boy about 5 years old who was *very* shy. We call my DS the "baby whisperer" because little kids love him, but not this boy. He wouldn't speak to anyone. We spoke to mom and she mentioned his shyness and how difficult it was for him to interact sometimes. We left, went to Epcot for a couple of hours, and then stopped in the lounge before turning in for the night. Imagine our surprise when we find this boy in the middle of a major discussion about his day with a cast member. She later told us that she just kept trying to engage him little by little until he finally felt comfortable. She didn't need to do that, but she did. (Good job, Kathy!)

The only negative to our trip was that it was only two nights and we didn't get to see our favorite people for very long. From this trip, a big hug and hi to Kathy, Linda, Janice, Michael, Pete and Jackie! :cheer2:

Yes, Goofy, Polynesian is near MK on the monorail or you can walk to the transfer station & catch the monrail to Epcot.

Golfing Goofy-DH and I go 3x ayear. We go in January ( I usually start planning about 6 months prior. Then we go in May ( I start planning as soon as we come home from our Jan trip). Then for a few days in July. (I am a hugh Nascar fan so we go the nasar race in Daytona, the tour group that we go with says over by Universal and then we extend our trip by 2 days and head to the BWI, this trip is scheduled usually around April) Watching Illuminations from the lounge is great, especially if it is raining or if you are plum tired out and just want to relax for the evening:cloud9: The lounge has some great offerings in food throughout the day:thumbsup2 Between 8-10 they do not put out a lot of dessert at one time since they end up throwing it away. The wine is usually out between 5-7, but if you ask, they have no problem getting you a glass if you do not drink what they have out.:)

Thanks for all of the info on CL.
You all are making me so excited for my trip!

pixiechick: What a sweet story! :goodvibes I love it!

jjohnson: Thanks for telling me where the Poly is located. Since we are going during my DH conference, which is at the BW, we need to stay near the BW. His meetings start at 7am, so it would be easier just to stay closer. I will definetly take the time to check out that place, it looks so neat.

nascargirl: Oh my gosh, my kids would love us to go to nascar races. They keep saying they might build a race track somewhere out in the northwest, but it just doesn't look like it will happen. I haven't heard anything about it lately. I always heard that Daytona Beach is a pretty place to visit. How fun to be able to go down to WDW multiple times. That is the neat thing about disney, it seems like you can always find something new on every trip.

DarlingDumbo: When are you going?

Don't get me wrong Goofy I love the BWI too. Polynesian is probably more close to my heart being it was the first resort that we stayed at.

jjohnson: My DB and SIL are going to try to meet us at WDW while we are there. They are not really into planning (how could we possibly be related?) so they want me to find them a few suggestions. They are not really interested in the BW area, they want to be closer to the MK. I think that I will put the Poly down as one of the suggestions. I don't know how this will work with WDW being so much bigger. I guess we will be using our cell phones a lot!

But, they usually go with us when we go to DL and just are happy to tag along. It is nice that they want to come because we only see them when we go on vacation, they don't have any kids, and they just dote on our boys. They are the cool and fun auntie and uncle. :cool2:

I think someone said the BWI is going under renovation,
does anyone know a tentative schedule?

If they want to be close to MK then definitely Polynesian but with no children I wonder how much time they really will spend there. If they have a car it will be much easier to meet up with you but I could see some difficulty if not.
