When I was contacted Monday by the Boardwalk IPO, they told me to use this new e-mail address Boardwalk.Itinerary.Planning@Disneyworld.com . She said they have upgraded to this new mail server. I used the old address and got through, but it took awhile. One of my messages even came back. After 2 weeks ( I have never had to wait more than a day for the IPO at Boardwalk) I e-mailed them again. I received the new e-mail address at that time. They must have been in the middle of upgrading when I e-mailed them. I haven't used the new e-mail address yet, just thought I would pass it along for anyone who may be interested.

That could explain why I haven't been getting responses to my emails. I heard back from them really quickly last week and then nothing. I called them today and all is well, but I too was surprised about the delay (they have always been VERY quick about answering.) But, no harm-no foul :)

Does anyone know them or know where I can find them?

hi all, does anyone have any pics of the steeplechase suite? or have a link to it? thanks

Any news about the transportation to the Yacht and Beach club to use the pool while Luna Park is closed?

Anyone know if the TV's in the BWI rooms are the flat screened ones? And do they have DVD players? popcorn::

I believe you would walk.

Also the TVs are not flat screen at any of the Epcot resorts.
The concierge rooms have the DVD players

We will be at the Boardwalk in about 3 1/2 weeks. Just seeing if anyone has been there recently. It's our first time staying at the BWI.

We've actually been back for about 3 1/2 weeks now. And this was our first time staying at BWI as well. We had a nice room that had a beautiful view of the boardwalk itself. Not sure what view you are looking for. But this was nice to have a balcony where we would sit early morning have breakfast and even in the evenings sipping wine. We loved the heated pool. Even though it was high 70's we still went swimming because that heated pool made all the difference. The slide was very fun, of course. DD enjoyed running under the elephant statue that spouted out water and she enjoyed the play area as well. We also liked the distance between MGM and EPCOT. It made it much easier to go for a half day then come back to the resort. And the shops and restaurant choices were great. Have a nice time. popcorn::

Thanks for the info. I'm glad you enjoyed the resort and we hope to do the same. We picked the BWI because of it's proximity to Epcot and MGM. We are eating dinner at Epcot most nights and should be able to get back to our room to freshen up before dinner.

Does anyone know if there is WiFi at the BWV? We are trying to decide if it's worth taking the laptop instead of the mini dvd player on the plane.
Thanks

We were blessed with an incredible upgrade to the Sonora Suite (room 4219)!
We got to stay in this fabulous room from Dec. 8 - 12. We loved it!

There is a large entry, to the right is a half bathroom, to the left is a little kitchenette with fridge, sink and microwave.

We had an early ADR at Spoodles, but we were exhausted after our flight and decided to have room service instead. We were pleasantly surprised to find that room service was provided by Spoodles!

Later in the evening there was a knock at our door; a CM stood there with a beautiful fruit basket and a large bottle of Evian water. He said it was to welcome us home. We couldn’t believe how blessed we were, the surprises just kept coming!

We loved our stay at the Boardwalk Inn. This was our children’s favorite hotel. I liked that it was walking distance to Epcot and MGM. We had most of our meals at Epcot. My son was thrilled that we were right above ESPN, he and my husband watched a few games and had dinner there. Even on weeknights there was always something to see on the Boardwalk. We saw entertainers every night that we were there. We would definitely stay here again.

We were to move to the Grand Floridian at the end of our stay here. Once we were ready to check out, we called bell services and they came right up to get our bags to make the transfer. It was so easy. A CM that we had got to know asked if we wanted to see the Presidential Suite before leaving, of course we said yes! This suite is huge and so nice.

We ended our 11 day vacation by coming back to the Boardwalk Inn. We had a Garden Suite, which we loved. It is so peaceful and pretty back there.

We passed the first row of suites with the garden entry,

we had room 1207 with a balcony so we didn’t have a garden in front.

Right outside the door was the quiet pool and a nice lawn area. We saw a family of bunnies playing out there every night and some squirrels.

The garden suite was very comfortable for the 4 of us. There is a couch that faces the TV unit, and a small table with chairs in the living area. There was also a small bar that held a microwave, sink and fridge.

Upstairs was a large bathroom with a separate room for the shower and toilet. There was a huge Jacuzzi for two and a king bed.

The balcony was large and looked out over the gardens and quiet pool. We had a perfect view of the fireworks from the balcony.

I loved the peace and quiet of the Garden Suites area. It was a very close walk to the main lobby and boardwalk area. The walk to the concierge lounge was a little out of the way, but nothing too difficult for us. I’d definitely book this room again just for all the space we had.

Dis Ohana, Thanks so much for the FABULOUS pictures! I loved looking at them. I was just curious as to what kind of room you had originally booked before you were upgraded to the suite. That is a great upgrade! I'm glad your vacation was wonderful.

Dis Ohana - what great pics, and what an awesome upgrade you had at the BWI! I forget sometimes how pretty that hotel is - that's my kind of style. ;) Thanks so much for sharing the pics - and that Presidential Suite - WOW!

Now you have me wondering if I want to change my split stay in Dec. from AKL CL/GF to BWI/GF! :rotfl: The one time we stayed at the BWI it was December - the decorations were gorgeous! :thumbsup2
