And share the room? I am not talking costs here. My DSD and her BF are joining my DH, DS and I at BWI at Christmas. We want to book a deluxe concierge room which will technically hold all of us. My DH is just a little bit (though not too much) concerned about his reaction to seeing his DD with a man, let alone share a hotel with them. . .mind you DSD is 24.

I know we can book two rooms std for the same price as one Deluxe concierge. . .but we really want the concierge services. . .

I know this seems really silly, but what is the difference between concierge and garden suite? I am going to BW in November. I have a feeling I should upgrade from a standard. Thanks for you help!! :cool1:

The deluxe rooms are in the main building and have one full bathroom and are about the size of one and a half rooms. The Garden Suites are located just outside of the main building, they feature a split level set up with one and a half baths. The upstairs has a king size bed room and bath plus TV while the downstairs has a half bath, queen pullout sofabed, TV and wet bar. The GS are perfect for what we need, which is extra room and the extra bath. Both of the room catagories give you access to the concierge lounge.

:woohoo: After absorbing most of this thread today I have changed my booking from POFQ to BI!!! So I will be there Aug 23rd to 29th for my birthday, yay! I booked a standard room but have requested a courtyard view (thanks to you clever people) and just hope it is up high enough to see Epcot, can't wait, exactly 150 days to go:dance3:

Can you only get a Boardwalk view if you book on the Concierge Level? ... or can you get a Boardwalk view if you book any Water View Room? .... :confused3

I don tknow Brit. I would drop Kerrycm a PM is the BWI queen and the person in the know
or search this thread

I'm glad I found this thread, now I just have to take the time to read all of it! We are hoping to stay BWI concierge level March 2008!:wizard:

We will be honeymooning at the BWI Concierge in June and I'm so happy I found this thread. I am soooo wanting a BW view, right now I have a concierge standard room booked, but I have a feeling I should change that to a deluxe catagory, insuring me my view, right??? Would like a king room too, but thats not as important as the view..

litlpixie-a deluxe room would guarantee you a Boardwalk view. There are 10 rooms. 5 on the 3rd floor and 5 on the 4th floor. Th lounge is on the 4th floor. If you want the Boardwalk view for sure (it is the best!!:cloud9: ) I would book the deluxe room!! Enjoy your stay. The lounge staff is the best!:thumbsup2

:woohoo: Our standard concierge level rooms are booked! We are going March 11-18, 2008. While a Boardwalk view would certainly be nice I just want to be on the same floor as the lounge more so that is our number one request.

Hi all -

I have a deluxe concierge room booked for a few nights on our next trip. I thought I had remembered reading that they all had boardwalk views, but, when I called, the CM said it could be garden, water, or boardwalk view. And, so I requested boardwalk. (Mom likes to drink her coffee and look at the water.) Now reading this thread, it seems to confirm what I originally thought.

Now, I feel like I shouldn't have that request on there - I should maybe request to be on the floor of the lounge. (I always worry when I put on more than one request that I'll confuse them.) Does anyone see any reason to do otherwise? This view is really set, right?

Also, does any one know if all the deluxe concierge rooms are non-smoking? Maybe I should request that, too.

I think I'm confusing myself now ... anybody have any thoughts?

I thought I read on this thread that all the concierge rooms are non smoking. I certainly hope so. Being from Washington where it's against the law to smoke inside public buildings we are very spoiled and sensitive to the smell of smoke! Plus DH has mild asthma so smoke smell would mean he would snore more than usual!

It sure depends on the CM with the information you get! :confused3 I rely on these boards for the absolute final word! We had a mix up with deluxe concierge--all settled now. But I still do not know about the non-smoking? I am pretty sure all the deluxe concierge rooms are boardwalk view--am I right?

I just feel that when you call lately--you may not be getting correct information. Or it could just be me--the super planner who wants to know it all:earsboy:

The nonsmoking issue I am not sure of. All deluxe rooms are guaranteed a Boardwalk view. There are 10 rooms-5 on the 3rd floor and 5 on the 4th floor. So if you want to be on the floor of the lounge you need to request the 4th floor. Hope this helps!:thumbsup2
