Let me see if I can answer everyone's questions. There are 2 staircases to the 4th floor. One is right by the CM desk in the hall before you enter the key carded door, The other is at the opposite end of the hall that come directly to the 4th floor, no locked door. The cast at the Innkeeper's Club are very good at knowing who belongs and who doesn't, if you are worried about that.

The 1 tv room is on the 4th floor, I can't remember the room number. If it is that important to you then you should mention it to IPO.

There are large bottles of water available to take back to your rooms. I am a big water drinker and have always had more than enough. This last trip in May we even filled a smaller bottle to take to the parks with us.

All I can say is I won't stay anywhere else except the BW. The cast there are by far the best on property and will really exceed your expectations. They try thier best to make your stay as magical as possible. I know sfbank and nascar girl will back me up on that!!

Kerry do you know if the rooms on the 3rd floor are behind a locked door? Meaning can anyone walk down the hall or just concierge level .

We loved last year not having the kids running up and down the hallways in our 4th floor room. I am worried if it's open hallway we could end up with that.
Thanks for any info you can pass along.

Java - getting close!

7 days for you and 9 days for us!!!

What day are you leaving?
We're headed out the night of the 26th!

Can't wait to meet up. Have a great time at BWI CL, we're right across the street BC CL.

9 days for us too!!!:banana:

Here are some answers we received from IPO today. They are INCREDIBLY helpful and have been AMAZING to deal with so far :goodvibes

1. The fee for internet use in your room is $9.95 per 24 hours. It is a wired connection in your room. You will need to place a credit card on file and have your keys cut with charging abilities to use the in-room internet.

2. The closest location with complimentary wi-fi access will be the lobby of Disney's Yacht & Beach Club resort.

3. I just placed a request for water to be in your room when you arrive. I have also placed comments on your reservation regarding this request. You are always welcome to take water with you to your room from the lounge.

4. There are flavored syrups in the lounge for coffee.

We made the big decision yesterday and changed our reservation to a BWI Garden Suite.:goodvibes
This will be a very special second honeymoon for us. We've never done something like this before-we're celebrating a happy 29 years together.:cloud9:

(Our 30th is next year, but with graduations and so on, we won't be able to visit....so we'll make this the extra special year!)
And the BWI IPO--They are SO nice. I appreciate how promptly they answer my questions. They are a great help with our planning! :cool1:

We stayed at BWI last year and valeted the car...this year we are staying there for 8 days and I would like to have the flexibility of getting my car myself and saving the tipping and the valet fee.

Is the parking lot that I would use close to the front of the resort like at the Poly and AK? When we stay at the Poly I just park the car myself and avoid all that....plus its nice to get my own car and drive to breakfast or dinner...or DTD instead of messing with valet or bus service.

We just got back from the Boardwalk Inn. We had a great time. All in all we loved the resort. The new room is really nice. The view was awesome too. It was really hot and crowded, but it didn't rain on us so that's a plus. Here are some pics.

So awesome! Thank you so much for sharing! So you were in a standard room? Were you CL? It looks like you were on the 4th floor, that's why I'm asking. The new rooms are pretty!! Glad you had a great time! I'll take the heat over torrential rain any day :thumbsup2

We were not in CL at the Boardwalk(we were at the Contemporary CL before we moved to the Boardwalk). We were on the 3rd floor room 3213. Standard room.

I forgot to share this pic. In the morning, we were on our balcony and a momma duck and her babies walked right up to the bakery right next to people. It was so cute!

We ate at ESPN, Big River Grille-me and dh split the chicken nachos, and the bakery. All had good food.

The buses were extremely slow! That was our only complaint. The Cast Members were great and so was mousekeeping.

There is complimentary WiFi in the lounge of the Innkeeper's Club now.

I just got back yesterday from the Boarwalk inn. We stayed in room 3259, a lake view, with a king bed. This was a great stay. Check in was super easy- no line at all. I booked through southwest vacations, I booked a water view(on sale) double, and we got a king when we got there which was awesome. The room was great. If you look at hotel from the boardwalk it is directly above SeaShore sweets all the way to the right(the last one). It has a ceiling fan which was so nice along with the air conditioner. It was a very quiet room. The boardwalk pretty much shuts down at 11, so with the exception of the boats honking occasionally it was silent. We stayed out and watched the performers every night and went and got ice cream during the day too. It was a bit of a walk from the elevator, but not bad. The only weird thing is that the faucet on one sink was obviously broken, and was never really fixed while we were there, other than that everything was great. The concierge was nice enough to do our southwest check-in for us the day before our flight which was very nice. The slide at the pool was closed mid-week but was back open on friday. Any questions let me know.... Ohh, and the pizza window at spoodle's was still open, and very yummy. Spoodle's was open I think, but we saw a lot of architects going in and out when we had lunch outside a couple of times.

Returned two days ago. Loved the Board Walk Inn. We stayed on first floor rooms 1296 and 1298 near the elevator. They are standard rooms in the garden section.
It was always quiet and restful in the room and on the patio. After a long day in the parks it was perfect.
Very Clean. Maid service was prompt and very good.
We found the bus service quite good. We never waited long for any bus.
Food at Flying Fish was the best meal we had all week. Crab cakes and steak. Yum!
We highly recommend this hotel.:thumbsup2

Disuser, glad to hear how much you liked the food at the Flying Fish. I'm curious to hear if you also tried the Yachtsman Steakhouse over at the YC.

WE just returned this week from BWI Club level. FANTASTIC! Word of warning htough...The lounge level, 4th floor, when it was redone they made too many of the rooms with King beds instead of 2 doubles. I NEED two doubles.Upon checkin I had requested 2 doubles and a garden view. Was then shown a King room with boardwalk view. Lovely view but I was a little worried about noise, I have a 9 year old that sleeps LIGHT! And the King bed didn't work. We were then given a gorgeous view of the gardens - room 4206. Simply so quiet. LONG walk from Inn Keepers Main desk but the original room I was shown was outside of the innkeepers main desk, not part of the secure door so that kind of bummed me a little on the boardwalk view room. I wanted to be inside that secured door area.

oh I should mention we loved it so much we are going back in December. Offered a bounceback rate. CLUB was invaluable in the summer. What a retreat. Pete, Lorenzo, Steve were all fantastic. REally enjoyed the stay. The food offerings were light - not meant to be a meal but I am telling you if you are going in the summer, it will be your retreat!!!

Welcome Back! Thanks for the pictures! I wonder they would have changed so many of the rooms to King rooms? That stinks, but I'm gad your room ended up working well for you :)

Thanks SRU, I posted for you since you and I both followed Clare's report so closely!! I don't know why they redid the 4th floor so heavily in Kings. WE are going back in December and I am a little worried we will have the same issue. So I need to be very specific YET AGAIN and hope it works..You must be getting so excitied for the trip. you will be thrilled with club, especially being so hot there in the summer. It was well worth the cost...
