Might be a silly question to some, but if I just wanted to go to the Boardwalk in the evening how do I get to it and where would I park. Does it have its own car park?

Thanks

Not a silly question at all. Just follow the signs for the Epcot resort area, and you should then see specific roadsigns for the Boardwalk from there - it's actually pretty close to the MGM Studios, too.

As far as parking goes, if things are not busy then the security guard may allow you to park in the main hotel car park. From here, it's a 5 minute walk onto the Boardwalk. If they are particularly busy, you'll most likely be directed to the overflow lot across the street - this is a little further away - perhaps 10 mins, but still not very far.

Finally, you could use the valet parking which is $6 per day (plus tip), and simply drop the car off at the hotel entrance.

Definitely worth a visit just to take in the sights and stroll around the lake.

The Boardwalk - my favourite :D :D

I believe you can park at the Boardwalk's car park for evening entertainment, here are directions By Car: Take I-4 to Exit 26-B (Epcot Center). Take 2nd exit (Epcot Resorts/Disney-MGM Studios). Turn right at 4th traffic signal. The Boardwalk will be on the left.

No problem - I hope you enjoy it.

As Kaylee says, we Boardwalk DVC owners are pretty proud of our little home from home :D

Just over a hundred days now Kaylee - can you believe we've started planning next years trip already?! (12 nights at BW with maybe 3 at Vero if there is availability at 7 months - apologies if this writing in code means nothing to non-vacation clubbers :D)

Don't blame you for planning next years already :D Very lucky. We are skipping next year (much as I hate to :( ) Looking forward to 2005 already though ;)

Just one word of warning........... We tried to park in hotel parking and the security guard insisted on photo-ID.

Yes, this was within a month of 9-11 in 2001, but if they are still enforcing, better be prepared. This is only time that I have ever (in six visits), been asked to show photo-ID to enter a Disney Resort.

One added extra for parking at Boardwalk is you can stroll along and the use the International Gateway entrance to Epcot if you are park hopping that day. Its 10 minutes walk, but you enter World Showcase between UK and France. Might even be able to snare a prime spot for Illuminations if you time it just right.:p
