So I realized there was a part to my previous posts I failed to mention.....
Part of the reason I feel you have such an amazing personality is that I am blessed with what my mother does... She is a nurse practicioner for a pediatric cardio surgery department.. I have been raised seeing inspirational people like you... You are the story that gives the parents of younger parents hope... you are the person that shows you have hope, determination, and love... I imagine that it is a rough road for you.. but you (and I know I do not know you) you are inspirational

This morning we got an email from Ms. Brandi (the woman from the wish organization we are going through). I think I mentioned that the trip was supposed to be in October? Well, that's not gonna happen. There are only three dates left this year--in July, August, and December--and it's too hot for me to go to L.A. in the summer.

So now I'm freaking out.

Maybe it's not such a big deal. It just feels like such a huge setback. We finally had some kind of plan, it was just starting to feel real, and then BAM, we're right back at square one. Granted, we'd only made it to square two, but still, it was something.

I miss square one.

ETA: On a better note, I walked without help for the first time since my fall today. And I got an A on my science test. Which means I got an A for the semester. WooHoo!

Yeah, we will most likely be able to do December. I guess it had just started to feel real, you know? And now that "this is happening and oh my gosh how excited am I?" feeling is gone again.

But once our dates are cleared (again), the feeling will come back. It just made me a little sad today.

That's why I came here...everybody is supportive...and they all know the power of Disney.

I have spent the last hour looking at Adventure By Disney trips...they look so...magical. I read a blog about the Backstage Magic one. Definitely an awesome wish!!!

Hang in there! Hopefully December will work out well for you. Disney would be all decorated for Christmas...that would be pretty!

The December date does not include the Jim Henson Studios.

And of course, Jim Henson is 98.5% of the point of the whole thing. But NO, they're not "open" in December, because it's the "holidays" and they want to be with their "families." They need to get up and smell the glue! There are Muppets to be made! Just because you have a tree in your house, the world does not stop!

I am upset though. Maybe if our wish org. had started looking at specific dates sometime before last week, we would have had more options.

Not that I'm complaining. I'm still very grateful. It's just frustrating. I mean, if I had been the one doing this, (and mind you, this may not actually be true, but just how I feel), this would all be done. We'd be booked. Our flights would be reserved. Everything would be set, and I could just go out, buy some Disneyland books, and do my thing.

And we're going on a Disney Cruise next Friday (I cannot wait to get out of here), and I still haven't packed and my room isn't clean and GRRRRRR.

I am very, very frustrated. How is it that I am 16, but still more competent than the adults?

Oh no! Not another set back. So... what will happen now? Do they have this adventure also next year? I know they change some each year.

I love that the studios have the entire month off. What a wonderful company BUT not when that is the only date you could go.

I know jim henson was one of your main points for you wish and so to find out that it is not offered in december must be disappointing. I will say DL in December is amazing, the decorations, "snow", and fireworks tend to be unbelievable so that at least should be something to look forward to if you go in December

I am sorry some of your plans have gone awry. Is the Henson Studios completely closed in December or are they just closed for tours? Is it possible that if they are just closed for tours that they would make an exception for a wish tripper? Maybe a personal tour? Dig a little deeper...maybe there are good things there after all.

Do people ever cancel their Adventures by Disney trips? Do they have to "pay" for them 45 days ahead like a Disney Resort? Maybe they would have a cancellation.

Does Adventures by Disney realize all of this is happening?

Ok, so I think I may have been a little whiny in my last post. And now I feel bad about it. I was just having a bad day. I'm sorry.

But I should be happy, because I got to do my girl's night with my aunt last night, and I am going on a Disney Cruise next week.

Plus, I got my VERY OWN scooter. I have been in the same medical stroller since the second grade, and I couldn't go anywhere by myself. Not to the movies with my friends, not to the mall, nowhere! And now, I have my freedom--just in time for my Disney Cruise.

The people who helped me get it are Mom and Kevin The Scooter Guy. Thank you Mom and Kevin The Scooter Guy!

I will have to show you pics later. It's neat-o.
