The Blackburns run away! A live OKW trip report!

Good Morning DIS's. We are not quite live yet, but will be going live beginning Tues May 24, So i hope you will join us in our runaway adventure to WDW. Here is some back story. MY DH and I are what I guess you could stay still newlyweds, we got married last July and at an at home Disney themed wedding. we both are huge Disney fans. We are DVC members and boy do we like to vacation.
Here are the good details of this trip. We are leaving from CAK on tuesday morning and checking into a OKW studio for 7 glorious nights. I am soo excited and so is my DH. This will be the first trip we are taking just the two of us since our honeymoon!
We are not planners as far as what days we go into the park, the only thing we really plan is dining reservations and golf tee times for DH. We have a lot of good reservations on this trip. we are going to LeCellier, Kona, Teppen Edo, 1900 park Fare, Via Napoli and a few more i can't remember at this given moment. Yes we will be on the standard table service dining plan. we have tried vacationing without it and I just don't see the value in paying oop. but hey that is my opinion.
Hope i have some followers, i will try and update everyday, but for now I must get to laundry and packing

so here goes the update today. its a rainy day here in ohio and the motivation is just not there to pack or get ready. I have no idea why. I am so excited to leave tomorrow, but I just dread packing anyone have any experiences with this? Any tips? Please help this would be a huge help.
in other plans, we are all checked in at OKW. We have never done online check in before so I am anxious to see how everything works and if we got the request we had put in with MS. My DH requested a room over looking the island green at LBV. It could be fun, we have had a view of this golf hole before and it was so much fun.
This morning we also checked-in for our flight and upgraded to business class on Air Tran. Oh boy how we will miss Air Tran when they finally converts to SW. This will probably be our last flight on AT.

Good luck with packing, I'm sure you are all done by now. Your restaurant choices look good. How exciting for you to be looking forward to seven nights at OKW. Make sure you take a boat ride to DTD. Such a pretty ride.

Good morning everyone, trip day is finally here! We will be heading to the airport in about an hour and I can say we are all packed and ready to go. We had some weather last night so i made sure our flight is still on time it's go time everyone!

So excited for you guys...Subbing on...Yes I totally understand the packing thing, and that is why I start way early that way when I am in the mood or if I come across something then i just throw it in the suitcase, I use a spare room for this so nothing gets in the way lol..You guys are going to have a blast and I am so totally jealous..You do have some great reservations...Have fun and cannot wait to see all that you guys do

Thanks for joining in. We just got back from a short trip to epcot....we had a quick lunch at the electric umbrella and rode a few rides....it's super nice here prob about 95 degrees. We are taking a short breather back in our studio and then possibly heading to the pool and kona for dinner later

I have to say today was the best first day at WDW! We had a great flight, quick ME ride, easy check in, room was ready, quick trip to EPCOT and then the best dinner followed by the best surprise ever! More details to come....

The reason I had the best day ever is because after dinner I stopped in the store at the poly and I found a bottle of magicale! It was just sitting in the cooler waiting to be taken home. For a little bit of back story, magicale is my absolute fav wine on property and when we were here this past Jan, it could not be found anywhere....not in restaurants or anything. I was completely bummed it had been replaced, by rosa regale which is just not the same....it's exciting to get a little pixie dust...

That's so cool you got your fave wine..I'm not sure what it is about Disney but it truly is magic...Sounds like you guys are having a great time...Epcot is my fave park, me and my oldest daughter enjoy it so much....I can not wait to go to the tequilla bar next time I go..YUMMMMM
