Now, those that would recall my tale would remember that my folks and I booked a GC Concierge room one week in advance.

Now, as I'm going this weekend, a week in April, and once in May, I figure it would just make monetary sense to get an AP.

My mother shot me down before I was able to finish the actual sentence. :rotfl:

Well, as I'm opening my cards this morning, I am greeted with a poorly drawn Mickey Head (looked kinda like a demented bear...). However the words beside it is much more magical "Good for one annual pass at Disneyland".

And, as we're going down on a Saturday: their only option is to go with the non-blacked out ticket (I'm going to college next year in SoCal, anyway, so it just makes sense).

Buy a 4 day hopper pass to use they blacked out day, then before you leave the park go the the Bank Builing on Main St. and use the hopper pass to upgrade to an Annual Pass. The full price of the hopper pass is applied to the AP, them you can get a partial black out AP...Make sense?:laundy:

That's a nice birthday gift! :-)

I don't know if this is still true, but in the past you could buy any kind of AP, even on a blackout day, and use it to enter the park that day and activate the AP. So, if your first day is a Saturday you could (for example) still buy a Deluxe AP that day and use it to enter the park. But of course you need to check your dates to make sure your AP wouldn't have blackout days during the rest of your visit! And if you plan to visit DL more than 6 days in the year, make sure you get the Parking option ($59 extra, included with the Premium) to save you money on parking.

Happy Birthday!

Awesome Pirate! I am so jealous!! That is probably one of the smartest gifts they could have given you. have fun with it!
