MEET THE COUPLES:
Phil (331 lbs) and Amy (229 lbs), The Red Team: They are one of the husband and wife teams that will be trained by Bob. Both Phil and Amy are real estate agents who are raising three boys, including one who is autistic. They put so much effort into helping him that they ended up neglecting their own health.
Tom (331 lbs) and Tom Jr. (aka LT), (357 lbs) The Gray Team: This father/son team will be trained by Jillian. They come from an overweight family and admit that they love to eat. Jillian hopes to teach them about proper diet and exercise so that they can help themselves--and their family.
Ed (335 lbs) and Heba (294 lbs), The Orange Team: These two are this season's newlywed team. They hope to get healthy so that they can have children someday. Bob hopes to rid them of their bad habits before its too late.
Amy C. (239 lbs)and Shellay (216 lbs), The Purple Team : Jillian will be training this mother/daughter team that she says is a prime example of a child following the unhealthy footsteps the parent has set.
Vicky (246 lbs) and Brady (341 lbs), The Brown Team: Bob calls them the classic American fast food family. They want to lose weight for the sake of their children--especially their four year old daughter, who weighs more than their seven year old son.
Michelle (242 lbs) and Renee (267 lbs), The Pink Team: This is this season's second mother/daughter team, but this one has been estranged for six years due to divorce. Both of them turned to food for comfort and now are turning to the show--and each other to become healthy again.
Adam (340 lbs) and Stacey (221 lbs), The Green Team: This husband and wife team have been overweight their entire lives and plan to do whatever it takes to win it all--and lose weight. ELIMINATED.
Jerry (380 lbs) and Coleen (218 lbs), The Yellow Team: They are this season's only father/daughter team. Jerry wants to live long enough to see his little girl get married and thinks the show is the perfect way for them to lose weight together. He says that he doesn't want her to suffer the way he did because she is his superstar.
