The Biggest Gouge at Disneyworld

I know the line get squiggly down by Pop. the majority of WDW is in OC, just like the other theme parks that offer refillable mugs. you can get on the monorail at the contemporary with a resort mug and in a couple of minutes be at the MK which doesn't offer them. it doesn't add up to me.

I agree I think it's a money thing when it comes to the mugs Ak less entered park of the 4.They also have it at the water parks.

This is one of the biggest money makers at any entertainment place being soda and snacks. This makes sence that they would not offer it at the places that are not as shaded (Ak has Kali and lots of shade)and keep you at a thrist . We started carrying a camelback and get the free ice cups to keep it iced down all day.

Sheesh, some people stubborn (kinda funny when they are stubbron, and nasty about it). Take a look at

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?city=Walt Disney World&state=FL&address=&zip=&zoom=6

And you will see that, yes, Bay Lake is in Orange County. As is the MK and most of WDW. But the Southern chunk is in Osceola County, including the Sports Complex and All-Star Resorts.

I'm not being stubborn, I'm simply trying to prove my point in what has become a convoluted thread. orange county health regulations would not keep the majority of WDW from using the refillable mugs. the CM was given a bad answer, or made one up. that's all.

Nobody has disagreed with that. It was your point that "all of WDW is in Orange County" and your curt reply to somebody who (correctly) pointed out that it wasn't to "look at a map" that I find kinda amusing.

Had a pot pie at the 50's restaurant at MGM and it cost $13.00 :sad2: Plus it was cold and the size of a pot pie from the grocery store.
We also had a storm hit while there a couple of weeks ago and had to buy 4 plastic ponchos at $7.00 each plus 4 base ball caps at $19.99 each. :guilty:
Things can add up REALLY quickly.
We have also learned to bring in all sodas and bottled waters. You save a fortune that way.

Well I think 2.75 for a bottle of water is just plain nuts. Why do they rip off their guest there already making huge profits on ticket prices which I might add is outrages not to even mention the cost of a hotel room on property.

Forty-something dollars for an 8x10 photo in the Star Wars gift shop. It took them about two minutes to put my children's faces on the Star Wars characters in the pic. It is an awesome souvie, though!

Did this too. But my DS looked really great in the picture so I HAD to get it!! :rotfl2:

The other thing that I bought that (at the time) I thought was outrageous was a Purple Tinker Bell jacket ($75.00). It was January and it got COLD in the evening. All our stuff was back in our room and we all got chilly. Sure, there were cheaper jackets that would have worked just as well, but I wanted "THAT" jacket. DS also got a WDW jacket with Mickey on it for $50. Thought it was pricy BUT I must say that was a few years back and both DS and I are STILL wearing our jackets, they are in excellent shape, and I smile every time I see them. So they were WELL worth the money--we've gotten our use out of them!! :tink: :mickeyjum

Our Camera strap broke this past trip- about 20 bucks to replace, and then it wouldn't hook on right, so we had to buy little lanyards to attach it!

It does look really cute now that it is on correctly. Mickey will ALWAYS travel with us.
