I am sure someone, somewhere has asked this before but if so I haven't seen it. Anywho can someone tell me if they do offer free dinning this year can you stay at any resort or is it only for the value resort guest?
Just wondering.:rolleyes1

In the past it has been any resort. I am still waiting for free dining....nothing yet...We just rec'd our Disney Visa guidebook, nothing in there about it.....bummer.......It isnt looking good.....We are already looking at alternative vacations for this summer.......

In the past two years, I believe they have offered free dining to guests at all Disney onsite resorts, including DVC...provided they visited during the specified periods, paid the specified room rate, bought the required park tickets. etc.

That's no guarantee they'll do the same this year, but that's been done in the past.

I wouldn't get too crazy just yet. In the past, I don't think they've announced it until late-March, early April.

IF they offer it, I am sure it would be WDW resorts, with the exception of FT W campsites. (And not including SoG, Swan/Dolphin.)

I ve heard from several AAA agents Disney will offer the free dining plan but they are waiting to annouce in later march or early april. This brings most of us northern folks down, cuz i know in western new york school doesnt start until september. whether or not Disney does the Free Dining Plan I m going back anyways.

If they do restrict which resorts it applies to, I would suspect they'd restrict it to the deluxe, or deluxe and moderate resorts, rather than restricting it to just the value resorts.

They were offering it to guests who were "booking their next trip" while at the resort. This was around November or December they were doing this. In the past this was happening during hurricane season.

Will it happen again this year? I've heard "probably", but if by March or April the Septmeber bookings are up from last year with it, than they will not. Remember, last year was a very quiet hurricane season, and people forget things quickly. I'd 70% chance that it happens...but don't bank on it just yet

I believe the travel dates are the Aug-Sep time frame though.

We were able to book free dining for August 07 when we were down in December with the "Bounce Back" AKA "Your Next Disney Vacation" promotion. The promotion was open to guests at any resort, and that's how it's been the past two years, so I would assume it will be that way again if they offer it to the general public this year.

What were the dates you booked in August? Did you have to book in August to get the free dining?

The "bounce back" program and the one for UK guest offered the free dining for the Aug 5th or 12th through Sept 30 timeframe. Can't remember the exact dates for each but it seems to be about a 7 week time frame.

The exact dates are in the Dining Plan FAQ. :)

I don't know if they wiil offer it or not....But it sure is fun guessing.:)
If they DO offer it Iam guessing it will be either March 1st or April 1st.
My guess is they won't offer it to the general public...but we'll all just have to wait and see.:coffee:
