We did this in Nov so one of us grabbed ROTR and the other SDD (kids don’t like MFSR) We did have some screen freezing issues. After booking those on the dot (still took 5+ mins), I booked MMRR which took 20 mins as the system kept logging me out (still got 10:10-11:10 am) and I had to copy paste a code and login again (3-4 times).Wondering if you can have two people on two different phones using the same MDE account to book RoTR and MMRR simultaneously. Who has tried this? Was it successful??
We were there in November too- I forgot about all of the forced logouts and re-logins with codes that were going on. That was insane. I wonder if that has been fixed? In the parks MMRR broke down for over 2 hrs and we were given an anytime pass. During the ride, part of it was stuck and not functioning so we were issued a pass for just half the party (2/4 riders).
This is still the case. I’ve had this happen on more than one occasion this am!! This is absolutely ridiculous and it’s been happening trying to log back into MDE and using mobile payWe were there in November too- I forgot about all of the forced logouts and re-logins with codes that were going on. SDD
MF
RnR coaster
ToT
Mickey Minnie Railway (ILL)
If I were there now, paid for G+ and was only able to get 3 of the big rides (by booking at 7, 11, and 1) I’d be
Disney needs to do something to fix this mess.
the standbys for all of those are 80 minutes or greater.
boy how I miss the old days of scheduling FPs (generally) when I wanted them, having it included in my highly priced ticket, and also being able to re-ride with FP at times!
I remember before Chapek, they cared about guest experience and studied how many “experiences” guests needed in order to want to come back. Something tells me that paying for G+ to skip the line on just a few rides that really need it ain’t it. At least not for my family.
this is the pits![]()
This is still happening with ADRs as well. Happened just 2 days ago when I was trying to change them. Lost both as I had to give up one and by the time I logged back in it was gone. I had clicked on the ADR at least 4 times. This is still the case. I’ve had this happen on more than one occasion this am!! This is absolutely ridiculous and it’s been happening trying to log back into MDE and using mobile pay. It made me miss my ride time because once it refreshed, the time was gone.

There were tiers. You could only get 1 of the "big rides" at HS for a long time.Ummm...3 is what you could preschedule...you had those and then could continue to get many more throughout the day.
Honestly if they got rid of ILL and put it all into Genie the system wouldn't be terrible. Then genie would have more capacity. One of the nice things about going Christmas week last year was that they added Frozen, MMRR, Space Mountain and EE into the regular Genie pool and I think that helped a lot. As someone planning to go next Christmas again I really hope they do this again.I would much rather have paid FP+, that I would pay for to be able to pre-book 3 rides. Genie+ does not look worth it.
Just found a great TP article on time saved with Genie+; At HS:
3+ hrs on a low crowd day
2.5 hrs on a medium crowd day
1.5+ on a high crowd day
Wow. That’s an eye opener.

Intuitively I would have thought G+ would save more time on busy days since you are skipping even longer lines than on uncrowded days. G+ must be less effective on busy days since the G+ runs out so fast and you only get to book a couple of them.
Disney really needs to open more G+ spots per attraction to allow more/better utilization of this paid system.

Which makes absolutely no sense since by most reports standby lines are moving as slow as ever . . . .Agree, but it's a bit of a balancing act. They don't want the LL lines to be 15-20 minutes long or be spilling outside the queues so they are limiting the amount of LL spots available. I have heard it is only 30% of the total capacity compared to upwards of 70% for FP+.
Thanks for this. Recapping estimated time in minutes saved with G+ for all parks on low/med/hi crowd days:Just found a great TP article on time saved with Genie+; At HS:

Thanks, I was really wondering about what % of ride capacity is allocated to LL. Do you have a source you can cite for this?Agree, but it's a bit of a balancing act. Agree with your 1st point. Was there over the holidays and being able to ride SM 2x as part of G+ was nice.Honestly if they got rid of ILL and put it all into Genie the system wouldn't be terrible. Edit: They should also change "7 am" to "park open." Making everyone wake up at 6:55 am to have a shot at a headliner every day of their vacation is terrible. That is definitely my least favorite part of the new system.
Yep. TripAdvisor is a mess for them. The person I spoke to seemed like he cared and said my input would go to the higher ups. He even said he at times felt the same way, going there frequently as a guest himself. Sure it could have been lip service, and sure I’m not sure that feedback will go anywhere higher or to anyone who cares or would want to make a change, but I do love Disney and I think they need to know how the magic is dwindling, and how that affects their repeat guests. Maybe if they hear enough of it something will change. I don’t want to stop going. But they’re making it hard to want to return.
Interestingly enough, I just googled “wdw reviews” and hold cow are they being absolutely flamed on Trip Advisor.
I hope they have peeps monitoring that- because wow.
It sounds like LL moves quicker than FP, and there are also 40% less people allocated to LL due to the limits they are putting on it. Those extra 40% who would have had 3 free FPs are now in standby making those lines slower than ever. I‘m using the original poster’s numbers-no idea if they are correct. Then you have more than ever showing up at rope drop earlier and earlier trying to gain an advantage because they can’t plan their park day and desired first ride/time or order of rides in advance. It’s a mess.Which makes absolutely no sense since by most reports standby lines are moving as slow as ever . . . .
