The Big Announcement Tomorrow??? What is it???

Any one have any insight on what this is all about??? Is this a typical thing they do?

Have you heard? We’re unveiling some exciting plans for Disney Parks in New York City in less than 24 hours. And you bet we’ll be announcing some good stuff that you’ll want to know about. So, on Thursday we’re offering live coverage of the event here on The Disney Parks Blog. You’ll be able to watch and interact in real time as we raise the curtain on what’s coming. We don’t want to give away any of the surprises but expect to see a few faces you’ll instantly recognize along with Disney characters and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs.

I think they will be announcing their 2011 Theme/Promotion.

If rumor is true it is something involving memories of a lifetime (Made at WDW)

They could potentially announce the Hawaii cruises - but since the blog is Theme Park specific - I doubt that will happen.

If MY dreams come true - they are announcing a multi-million dollar renovation-rehabilitation of EPCOT! HAHA

But my bet is mainly on the promo campaign!

Announcing a new "celebration" is a given.

2012 cruises is a good guess. Don't know if it will happen or not but the timing is about right. Last year the 2011 cruise itineraries were announced during the D23 Expo which was the second week of September.

As far as updates to the parks go, I figure the best we could hope for is some revised nuggets for the Fantasyland expansion. But even that seems awfully quick after the just went back to the drawing board a few short weeks ago.

Last few times Disney promoted one of these big media events, the results ended up being a big dud. Not holding my breath for this one to be any different.

Not sure why DCL would be a Parks announcement, unless they added a DCL port in NYC and had something like a spring break cruise from NYC to WDW package..

But I'm guessing they are just using the NYC 'marketing capital of the world' as the launch of a new marketing theme for the parks.

Or, even better, they will annouce that they will begin serving REAL coffee (goodbye Nescafe) throughout WDW.

I'll guess that nothing will be announced concerning DCL or DVC.

I'm guessing that they'll talk about the Fantasyland expansion, the new dining plan, a new land in Epcot, perhaps new restaurants at DTD, a new celebration.

I doubt that they'll announce a new theme park.

Of course, it's just a guess on my part.
