The best xmas day EVER!!!

i have booked adr's for cp on xmas morn and chef mickey's xmas dinner!!!!

it is a surprise for my children as their big xmas surprise as they will only get a few smaller than normal gifts with us being in florida.

we have never been to a character meal before!! how do they work? do the children line up to see them after the meal?

That is an awesome surprise - this trip is certaintly stacking up to be the best trip ever!!!

At Character meals the characters come to your table during the meal!! Its great fun as its a brief one 2 one interaction with your family.

Chef Mickeys used to have it that you saw Mickey for a photo on entering the restaurant but Im fairly sure it has changed back to him coming to your table now!! If im wrong im sure someone will be along to correct me

I know! it started as a all family trip 16 of us in total and for one reason and another its just us now so im glad im getting super excited about it, and so looking forward to it!!!

its great they come to your table are the kids allowed to get up and have a character photo or can u just snap away while they are moving all round? xx

Once the characters come to your table you can have as many photos with them as you like. They will also sign autographs so make sure you have your books with you.

Wow, what a great mum you are! Your children will have such a great time, the best xmas present anyone could want!

Just to confirm, the trial of having Mickey greeting in front of the restaurant instead of circulating the tables with the rest of the characters met with some resistance from the die-hard fans so unless this changes again, at present Mickey still comes to the table.

And Crystal Palace on Xmas morning I can't imagine a nicer character meal for any morning - but especially for Christmas! You're getting me excited now and I'm not even going to be there!!

Arh thank you Simon! thats what i am aiming for! we stay offsite so dont have ddp so the few places we will go to on site i wanted to be special so hopefully this will be that way! xx

DH and I loved CP when we went and it was just the two of us.

Its really good food as well, plenty to choose at breakfast. I am so green with envy that you guys get to be there for Christmas morning. Make sure that if you miss a character let your server know and they can try and direct them to you on their next trip around. We missed pooh and the server we had gave us special permission to meet him as we were leaving.

We did Crystal Palace for breakfast for the first time on Christmas Day morning a couple of years ago and it was fantastic! We'd been there before for dinner which had always been lovely but as we couldn't envisage Christmas Day at Disney without a character meal (plus it's a great way of getting in early if you're staying offsite) we booked breakfast and it was great - you'll all love it!
