This is the first time I plan on using the kitchen at the resort, nothing fancy but would like to have some things stocked. We will not have a car, what is the best way to get to the store, we are staying at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village.

I think the best way is to bring the grocery store to you. We use Gardengrocer or wegoshop. Garden Grocer, you pick your groceries from their website. Wegoshop, you give them a list and they will go to the store for you and get your items. Both cost a bit of money, but are very convenient.

100% agree! We have used wegoshop and been very happy. The cost of a cab both ways wouldn't be worth it.

Good to know, thanks! If we are arriving on May 16th, when Should I submit my order? will they deliver right to the room? I noticed that with garden grocer you have to spend 40.00 and there is a 12.00 charge and now a fuel charge? is this still accurate? I dont need much, some drinks. snacks and some breakfast items. Do I need to buy coffee? or do they have those little packets of coffee with the coffee maker?? does anyone know?

If you are truly only buying a few items, you may just be better off using the gift shop on site. For wegoshop I ordered way ahead because sometimes their dates fill up.

We have only used garden grocer and have been pleased with their service. In the past we have used them while staying at BWV, OKW, AKV, POR, and FW cabins. I would place your order as soon as possible as some dates fill up and you might have to wait a day or two to have your groceries delivered. I'm not sure of a fuel charge, but we viewed their pricing as reasonable as it is a convenience when you do not have a vehicle.

As for coffee, they only leave a few packages ion the room, and don't replace them daily unless you are staying on cash instead of points. In our family this would probably be enough for DH for two days. So I wold suggest that you purchase a small container. If you are having difficulty meeting your minimum think of items that you planned to purchase in advance and travel with in your suitcase. In our case it was always diapers and wipes. For space reasons it worked well to just have them delivered to our room.

Oh, the groceries are usually left at bell services. When we stayed at FW we found them in our cabin as we had arrived around 2am. But that was Disney who put them there.

Wegoshop does not have a minimum order, but their delivery charge is higher. They also do not mark up each item like Garden Grocer does. They charge you the exact cost of the item in the store and even give you the original receipt. They'll shop where you request and even go to more than one store if necessary. We have always scheduled an early evening delivery and received it directly to our villa.
We save the delivery cost just with a case of water over the cost of the items in the on site store.
We order:
Coffee (there is only 1 packet in your room), juice, a case of water. fruit, breakfast things, soda, beer, wine, cheese and crackers and snacks.
We feel the cost is well worth the service.

Agreed! So much more convenient. Yes the delivery charge is a little high, but it is worth it to us in terms of time saved and money. We usually buy a case of water to avoid the $2.50 price tag in the parks, and some Pepsi products since you can't find Pepsi anywhere onsite.

We have only used Garden Grocer and they deliver to bell services and your cold stuff is kept cold, so you can be out at the parks, or not even arrived yet and your groceries will be ready when you are.
