the best thing you brought at disneyland

We brought our jeans and sweatshirts.

Bought - Surprised my wife on our last day with a figurine she noticed. I gave it to her right before remember dreams come true on our last night.

The thing we bought that we liked the best was the Silhouettes on main street. We have bought them both times we have been there:thumbsup2

cool ty hed have a blast coloring them and then sending them home. (i should make up pill and stick lables and get stamps

I bought the Official Disneyland album and a pin. But... I really loved my honey pot from the Splash Mtn area shop. It was an apple dipped in caramel then dipped in chocolate.Yum :thumbsup2

My favorite purchase (and this is a big stretch for me because I am a souvenir NUT and I love everything I bring home :lovestruc ) is my Mickey Watch that DH bought on the sly while I was running our crew around the Emporium trying to find shirts and hats for everyone. I wear Mickey everywhere, he is my every day watch, my dressy watch.... I can't imagine trying to tell time without him!!

The only purchase I was disappointed in (and only slightly) was the three-pack of instant cocoa tins they were selling at the candy store. The tins themselves are adorable, there was one set of princesses and one with Mickey, Stitch, and Buzz. The cocoa itself is dyed colors and truly is kind of yucky.....BUT I love the tins.....They are totally cute and worth the price we paid, just to put in my curio cabinet. ::yes::

Next time I will buy a lot more mickey antenna balls because mine keep getting stolen! :furious:

Okay what in the world are "big figs"?

Big figs are just Big Figurines. They are usually around 20" tall. There are a number of different Big Figs available on e-Bay: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=Disney+big+fig&category0=. Some are a little harder to get than others....

Here is my fab 5:

Minnies base is different from the rest because she is not the "classic" version. I'm still looking at replacing her with the real "classic" version when I find it. If anyone has one and would like to trade it for $$$ let me know. Also to keep them safe from my DD(4) and DS(2) they reside here:

10 feet off the ground above the front door to our house. :)

I bought a scrapbook and a photo book that had "Disneyland 2008" on the cover so that I can have an album about our trip. I also bought some 2008 scrapbook paper. Thought those would be cute.

The worse thing was our meal at the resturant by the Pooh ride. Terrible service, nasty bread and bacon on the turkey club, just poor memories cause of that place.

The best thing my family buys every time we visit is the silhouette cut outs from Main Street. It has been fun to watch us all grow up over the years!

I can't complain about anything I have ever bought!

My favorite was not purchased by us…It was purchased by our son…They are one of a kind Artist watches…he had them made for our 30th anniversary (11 years ago!) He did an overnight trip to Disneyland…had the watches made…and on our anniversary that year…surprised us with the watches… If you look up close you will see a difference..one watch says "Mom and Dad… the other has our names...it took him some convincing of the artist to get the watches to look this much alike…Love our watches…Love our son for doing this...

Probably my daughter's princess hat with mouse ears. She loves it and plays with it constantly a year later.

My favorite purchase was my Disneyland tote...it is white and blue striped and perfect for the summer.

My DD's favorite was some packs of the Collector's Packs Mini figure series...
I don't know why we've never seen these before, but she plays with them ever since we've opened them. They were expensive, $5 for a pack of 3, but she got mini figures like Woody, Cinderella, the witch with the poison apple from Snow White, a mini Disney Cruise boat, an Epcot ball, etc.
very cute!

My DS did not get to go on this trip, so I bought him home a box of the Mickey Coconut heads and he is SOOO enjoying them!

What is the trading of the mini figures about? I've never heard you could trade those.

Best thing, silhouette of the girls we had done, we put it in a frame with all the silhouette trader pins we got. :) I love that!! It looks so neat!

Worst? I don't know that I have a worst....oh wait, I do, the worst thing was the Tink charm bracelet I bought DD8, it fell apart a week after she got it! :( I wonder if I could take it back....

The best thing we bought was our 1st Robert Olszewski Main Street miniature piece. It started our collection that we now have displayed in our living room! :goodvibes

Just to add to the info you already received, big figs in the parks run around $175 to $200(sometimes more for "special" ones) and come in a wide variety of characters(not just the Fab 5) and even Disney landmarks. I have three, Jedi Mickey, Briar Rose, and Sleeping Beauty Castle, and a Mickey as Anakin Skywalker on order from WDW. The figs often include special features such as light or music. Jedi Mickey's lightsaber lights up, Briar Rose plays Once Upon a Dream, and Sleeping Beauty Castle lights up.

Some big figs depict Disney characters in films(Star Wars, Minnie Poppins, The Wizard of Oz is forthcoming), some have depicted attractions(POTC), and sometimes they do professions(Firefighter Mickey).

when we were there a couple of weeks ago, we bought our dd who is 7 a build a bear. now, we bought here one of these when she was 2 but she couldn't remember the whole process so we took her in the 1st night we were there and she picked out a koala bear and she bought all kinds of clothes, carrier, sunglasses, you know. one of the cutest outfits was the disneyland outfit w/the mickey ears, too cute. anyways, every year i buy a scrapbook with the theme year on front of our disney trip. my dh and i started collecting the jim shore disney figurines on this past trip. there are very affordable and adorable! we bought 3 @ the world of disney.
