The best stroller?

This has probably been asked, but the PP brought up the City-Mini. Does it concern you to leave a $200+ stroller while you are on the rides, at dinner etc? That was one of the reasons I went with the $99 baby planet, but honestly I still felt like I was leaving a $100 bill laying around. I think I'll feel better if we can get it personalized, maybe our name embroidered on it. Any thoughts on this?

I do always worry about my strollers when we brought the P3's and now the Baby Jogger City Mini) before our trips. And I only paid $75 and $100 for each of my P3's and $149 shipped for my BJ Mini so never even pay full price. I bought a bike lock and brought it along to WDW but then once there never ended up using it. LOL We just had so much going on and so many other things to remember each day that the lock just was forgotten.

But we never had any problems with our stroller either, thank goodness!! I would try to park it so that it was surrounded by a ton of other strollers, lock the wheels, and if we left anything...put it in the seat with the shade pulled all the way down. Plus you start seeing much pricier strollers such as Stokke Explorys and Bugaboos which makes my Mini less interesting. ;)

But I am sure that I will be bringing the bike lock along for the next trip...just not sure whether we will end up using it or not! :confused3 Actually, I worry more about how the airline treats it and keeping it clean and scratch free while on vacation! LOL

Do you mind me asking how you managed to snag a BJ mini for that price? I want to get one for our trip (well she needs a new stroller anyway) and can't seem to find a discount anywhere for the last couple of weeks.
TIA

I love the P3 that I got for my niece for our trip in September. It has a huge sun/rain cover. It's not tippy! The extendable handles are great. She was very comfortable in it eventhough she was almost 5. She even took naps in it when she was tired.

I wish I knew about the zippered rain shield that you can buy for it. I guess I will get that next time if I'm allowed to take my niece again.

I bought mine either late March or early April. They were selling for about $200 then ( I think they are a little more now). I came across a 25% Off code for SportsAuthority.com and they happened to sell Baby Joggers! I never would have thought to look at that type of store. So I was able to get mine for $149 plus Free Shipping.

Then a few days after that sale ended, I decided to look for one for my bother and his girlfriend's baby shower gift. I ended up finding a 15% discount code for Moosejaw.com. Theirs was $169 with Free Shipping. I also ordered the BJ Single Travel Bag for using on the plane because they sold it for about $15 less than everyone else plus it was an extra 15% off as well. So both items for about $200 shipped.

For the discount code at Moosejaw, what I did was scour websites like RetailMeNot.com and CouponCabin.com and go store by store looking for the best deal. Most of the sporting goods types of places offered Free Shipping in jogging strollers and they offered better discounts than the typical baby stores. My brother wanted the blue one so that is why I went with Moosejaw...others usually only had the black, red, or orange which I got. This was when the BJ Mini's were backordered everywhere and mine wasn't supposed to show until late May but came within 2 weeks.

Not sure how readily available they are now but definitely look for a good code first. I looked at toy stores and sporting goods stores along with baby stores because places that you would never think would sell them did. LOL I do keep getting discount emails from Moosejaw and Sports Authority now. I don't look at them all but some (mainly MJ I think) have specified that they can't be used on Baby Jogger products but you never know.

Hope that helps!! :thumbsup2

I bought a Chicco C6 for my grandson for $69 through Amazon.com It comes with a bag which is good for the airplane so it doesn't get damaged. It is very light which is good for Disney buses if you will use them.

Thank you so much! I do check for coupon codes, but I would've never thought to look at those kind of stores. Thanks so much!!!

I absolutely recommend going with a Phil & Ted. I have an E3 and LOVE IT! It really is the best. It's a very lightweight 3 wheel stroller that turns on a dime and can even take a 2nd child with the additional seat. I won't go anywhere without it!

It really is a great stroller. The only drawback is that it doesn't have a tray in front or a cupholder for parents. But we got an add on that can take a drink that attached to the pushbar.

I am going to throw another question into the mix. How well do your strollers fold for use with the buses?

I have the baby jogger city mini stroller that orlando stroller rentals rents and I love my stroller so much besides the small lack of storage it is the ultimate disney stroller IMO very light weight, awesome amount of sun protection, full recline, breathable fabric and the list goes on. I also have a mac techno and would take my bjcm over it to disney any day. check out www.babyjogger.com maybe you can email them to see if they have a local retailer in the area. best of luck and have an awesome time if only I could talk my dh into 25 days in disney.

Baby Jogger City Mini folds easier than any stroller made. Nothing compares.

This was the main reason that we bought the Mini for WDW. We were happy with the P3 but usually the 4 of us end up splitting up each evening. DH and older DD9 go off in one direction, while youngest DD2 and I go in a different direction. So that means that I end up with the stroller, toddler, Ergo, and whatever bag we are using for her stuff. LOL

For the busses, I just put Avery in the Ergo while waiting in line (where she falls asleep) and then fold up the Mini in about 2 seconds just as we are about to board the bus. It is so easy that I don't have to worry about doing it ahead of time or needing both hands free or any of that! And it unfolds just as easy...one handed if that. :goodvibes

We used 2 Skip Hop Saddlebags on each side of the stroller which were nice and roomy...more than I thought they would be. They held pretty much everything we needed for Avery and still had room left over. Plus they didn't need to be removed and could fold right up with the stroller. We just used a small backpack or other baby type bag to hold bulkier things like the Ergo, Pal Mickey, stroller raincover, ponchos, mugs, etc depending on what we needed each day.
