Okay -- I realize that there are as many strong opinions on this subject as there are restaurants at WDW...lol...but I've just got to say...

The Filet Mignon at Jiko's, AKL is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

It's simply the best steak I've had at WDW and ranks high on the list of overall preparations ever. The spices used as they age it, the preparation by the sous chefs who pair it with a superb 'gourmet' mac n cheese -- not to mention the intelligence and knowledge of their servers makes this a stunning dish and dining experience.

This dish, restaurant at large, and superb staff make a special trip to Jiko's at AKL truly worth it. There's nothing better...no matter what anyone says!

I haven't had the filet with mac n' cheese (they serve it with different accompaniments now, but the mac n' cheese is still available), but I had Jiko's filet a few days ago and absolutely loved it. It's up there with Artist Point's buffalo strip as my favorite red meat dish at WDW. :cloud9:

Glad to hear it has improved. Ate there last year and we all had the filet. It was terrible. Just a subpar piece of meat with very little seasoning.

Oh no! So sorry you had a bad experience with it. The many times we've visited in the last few years it's always been superb. Better luck next time! =(

Sorry to say the filet is the only entree at JIKO that has ever disappointed us.

I find that I am partial to the aged NY Strip at Yachtsman Steakhouse.:thumbsup2 Never had the filet at Jiko, and probably never will after kind of a really less than stellar experience there.

If duck counts as red meat (I count it that way), IMHO, Jiko was the worst red meat at Disney. I am so happy that your experience was fantastic.:)

That makes me sad -- and likely - a total Disney dork!

Going on 7-8 times there now and it's always been world class...and always with superb and intelligent servers.
