Hi all! My DF and I are in the middle of planning our DFTW for this coming October, and this June we are going down for our planning session. During our planning session we will be meeting with our photographers (not disney) for our engagement shoot. They asked us if we have any specific locations in mind, and honestly the one place I can think of is the Y&BC because that's the hotel I've pretty much always went to when I've been down there.

Therefore, I'm looking for some ideas for other fun / unique / or just beautiful places that you have taken your photos at. We're pretty laid back and want these photos to just kinda be fun and natural...not really posed or formal.

Any ideas at all would be great!

(Also we're getting married at the WP and ADH...so I think we want to save the GF and BW for the wedding days, not necessarily for e-pics).

At the Polynesian right next to the beach there's this grassy hill that overlooks magic kingdom and the lagoon. It's absolutely beautiful. I've actually seen a wedding take place there before.

We are getting married in October at the WP too. I want the wedding pictures to be different than my e-pics, so we chose BW, then have the BW in the background at Y&BC. We aren't doing Disney photography either.

The Poly will have similar views as GF, but still a bit different. I thought about having the castle in the background for our e-pics, but our wedding pics will have it there. Plus, I was engaged in front of Cinderella Castle, so we have a ton if photopass pictures of that.

Have fun with your engagement pics!

We chose the Polynesian and Wilderness Lodge because they were the most "exotic" Disney locations that we liked (sorry, Animal Kingdom Lodge) and really different from each other. Our photographers got great shots of us on and around Sunset Pointe, the spot at the Poly mentioned by the previous poster.

Our wedding was in Epcot and at the BoardWalk, so it was nice to do engagement shots someplace else.

The boardwalk would be a great place for your pictures. You would have the YC and BC in the background. With the carnival games, the surrey bikes, and all the other entertainment around the boardwalk, it would be relaxed and exciting and you would have a ton of options.

There's always in and around Epcot - not sure if that's an option or not - Canada has a beautiful waterfall, France is breathtaking at night and Italy has a great view of Spaceship Earth in the background.

We are having our e-pics with Regina in November at Port Orleans Riverside and the Boardwalk.

We chose POR as it was the first place we had a 'family' vacation, and the Boardwalk as it's gorgeous at sunset.

Is there anywhere that is particularly special to you?

Maybe Art of Animation as it's fun and nice and laid back?
