We will be headed to Disneyworld next December with a total of 12 people in our party. We will be celebrating DS's 2nd Birthday, and I was wondering what would be a fun place to eat at such a young age? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated! THANKS. :)

I agree that Crystal Palace is a great place ......the characters are gentle ones....like pooh and eeyore and tigger......and the food is out of site for eveyrones likes......it is delicious.........Now I am ready to go back......:cool1:

I agree with the PP. If you plan to be at MK, definitely choose Crystal Palace - the characters are perfect for a 2 year old (Pooh and Friends). Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort is one of our favorites.

Happy birthday to your little one!

Thanks you! My dad always took us to the Crystal Palace when we were young, and I have such fond memories of it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything new and cool since I haven't been to WDW since 2002! :(

I have a different suggestion. I have a 2-year-old boy, and his absolute favorite Disney show is Little Einsteins. For this reason, we are having breakfast at Play N Dine @ Hollywood N Vine. He will meet 2 of the LE characters, and also Jo Jo and Goliath.

While your DS might not be into TV now, give it some time...I bet he'll be aware of LE by the time you go to Disney in a year. :santa:

I would also vote for either Hollywood & Vine (although the characters are only there for breakfast and lunch) or Garden Grill for dinner with farmer Mickey.

From what I can tell Chef Mickey's seems sooo popular for breakfast. Is that true, and if so, why? Is it just as fun for dinner?

My family LOVES Chef Mickey's for dinner... it's for the experience, not the food. We go every trip. Food is basic buffet, but filling none-the-less. We're not big breakfast eaters so we tend not to do the character breakfasts.

I always book the first seating (usually 5 pm). That way the restaurant is not yet too loud, and you get the characters full attention and they're not tired yet. They do a celebration song/dance and napkin twirl every 30 minutes or so. Very celebratory atmosphere.

The first time we ate there, my DDs were in awe of the monorail. When we were done dinner, we did the monorail circuit for fun.

I tend to book Chef Mickey's on a non-park day, so we take our time exploring the hotel, having dinner, and riding the rail :goodvibes

I've enjoyed both.:goodvibes One big advantage of breakfast over dinner at character meals is the price. This may account for some of the popularity.
