We are going next year, can't afford Deluxe so we are going to try a modrat.which is best and why?

I don't think there is a "best" moderate. They're all nice and each one is somebody's favorite. It's just a matter of deciding which one will best suit your tastes.

Personally, I like POR the best. The landscaping is very lush and private. The theming is very fun in the Alligator Bayou section and romantic and elegant in the Mansions section. The pools are very nice, both the main pool and the adult pools. Plus, it's fun to be able to ride the boat to Downtown Disney.

We love the two PO Resorts.
POFQ is a small resort, the dragon pool is cute and the rooms are really nice.
At POR we love the Magnolia Bend rooms and they have the best foodcourt on property. They have one themed pool and lots of quiet pools. A full service restaurant and fun family entertainment in their lounge.

Both have beautiful landscaping, boat launch to DTD and connected by a great walkway along the river. The rooms at both resorts have been rehabbed in the past year. You can stay at either resort and have access to the amenties of the other.

No shared transportation and only 4 bus stops, best pool, and beautiful landscaping

We have the same problem. We have always stayed at Deluxe before and this year we are going at peak season and it's just too expensive for a deluxe. We decided on POFQ. My grandson picked it and thought for the whole family it would be the best. It's smaller then the others for grandma and grandpa (us) and his younger sisters will love the serpent slide and we'll all enjoy the boat to DTD. It has a hot tub too which is a must for me after a long day in the parks!~! :teeth:

I'll be the first to put in a good word for the Carribean Beach Resort. Coming down from the snow of the north during January, the tropical theming of the resort is a nice break.

Who is in your traveling party? What setting do you like?

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Our favorite moderate is , by far, the CSR!!! We've stayed at all the moderates, but keep returning to CSR. We love the pool and slide, Pepper Market has a great variety and good food, the grounds are very pretty and there are 3 different themed areas. At night, (as you can see in all the pictures Buzz2001 posted) the resort is especially beautiful. We love the rent a surrey bike are look at all the diferent areas of the resort.
