The Best "Free" Things at Disney

Resort tours- We love to go and look at the new things the resorts have done.

DTD-Grabbing a cold drink and walking around down there is awesome!

Boat Rides- The boat rides all around are beautifulpirate:

Sorry I just saw this question....A Transportation Card is like a baseball trading card. My son would collect them from the bus drivers, the boat captains, ect...they have information about each of the types of transpotation. How big they are, how many passangers they hold, things like that. Pretty cool for a 4 year old boy.

This sounds real cool, so he gets them from any driver, meaning:yay: like every bus he rides?

Over at Fort Wilderness in the back by Trails end and Hoop Dee Do they have some animals that you can walk around and see. Also just behind that is the Tri Circle D Ranch and the have a stall that gives you a look at the history of horses in Disney history.

My favorite free souvenir is the drawing of a character that you can do at the animator's pavillion in DHS.

I've done the free tour at Jiko's and you get flatbread samples, and then you get to try something on the buffet at Bomas.

I love to talk to the CM's all around Jambo house and Kidani and go to the
"safari talk" in the evenings.

Where is the "Springs section"? Thanks.

If I'm thinking of the right thing, the Springs is the section of Saratoga Springs that is centrally located nearest the pool and check-in building.

Another thing I haven't seen mentioned specifically is to take advantage of the Community Halls at the DVC resorts. Our kids enjoy playing games there, as well as doing crafts (although the crafts do have a fee). Also, you can get a free life jacket for the length of your stay if you have a pre-swimmer in your party.

Finally, we like water bingo by the pool, which we played at SSR. They give you a bingo card that is made of paper that you can even sit in the pool to play. They have Disney prizes, and it doesn't cost anything. (You know...other than our dues.) :)

FREE DINING......Just kidding!

-We like to tour the other resorts, especially around Christmas time to see the different trees and the Gingerbread Houses

-Listening to Off Kilter, British Invasion (sadly they're leaving), and Jamitors (are they still there?) at Epcot

- We also like getting the free sample at Ghiradelli's - It's a family tradition for us

Right. Every bus that has a different design had a different card. Not all of the drives had them. Some said that they ran out earlier in the day so it is hit or miss, but we did not find to many that did not have any. Plus sometimes if they did not ahve one for there bus or boat they would have some of others they might have drove earlier in the day.

One of my favorite things is to be in the MK early; find a rocking chair on one of the porches in Frontier Land and sit...with a cup of coffee....and rock.....and watch the people running to all the rides!!

This may sound boreing....but when you have done "commando" vactions for as long as we did prior to joining DVC, this is so darn relaxing! :rotfl:

I would like to join you. Sounds like a great way to enjoy MK, providing I could get a good cup of coffee like Starbucks brand.

Totally didn't know this. Would BWV and AKV have them? We'll be staying there in June.

Yes they will.

We enjoyed fishing at Fort Wilderness. That is 1 of our favorite memories when the boys were little. Disney fish love hot dogs!! It's catch and release and the fish know it!:rotfl:

Love DTD. Plenty to do and see there.
Rocking chairs at SSR.
BBQ at Congress Park and wave at the boats as they pass by.
When I stayed at BLT, I walked over to MK early and sat on a bench and watched all the Princesses arrive for CRT breakfast and the opening show:wizard:

I just enjoy being at WDW. It's a great place to "live":wizard:

I'M NOT QUITE SURE HOW ANYTHING CAN BE LOOKED AT AS FREE. AND OVER THE YEARS EVERY THING THAT SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN EXTRAS HAVE SINCE BEEN PRICED. A SHAME BUT TRUE :scared1:

Hit Welcome Home Wednesday at Atlantic Dance Hall - always fun and you do get free swag and snacks.

I also second the Boardwalk Entertainment at night.

Check out the activity schedule when you check in - there are usually free activities. BCV has movies on the beach that I believe are open to BWV guests.

It's not free, but if you have an AP, mini golf at Fantasia Gardens is walking distance and very affordable with the AP discount.

Free movie rentals.

And I'll second pool-hopping. We've made a fun day of it and visiting resorts.

"swag" What is swag?
Thanks, kate
