Lindt. A vendor gave the company a huge box of assorted Lindt chocolates for Christmas...and I think I ate them all. I'm eating Ghirardelli chocolates right now. They're good, but they're no Lindt.

Droste is another good one I just thought about!

Lindt is my choice too. Their truffles are amazing!

I did have my nose pressed against the glass at the Godiva store the other day though. They had chocolate dipped strawberries, cherries, bananas and marshmallows laid out. I had to be drug away because that's some good stuff too.

Oh and a shout out to Harry & David's too. Their chocolate covered berries are WONDERFUL!

I'm hungry.

I voted other also because there is a place here in Maryland called Rheb's that has the best chocolate IMO.

I am curious thought to try this Lindt's chocolate that you guys are talking about ~ where do you get it?

Lindt is easy to find, even Target carries the truffles. You can also find it in most grocery stores, stores that have some imported foods and maybe drug stores. They've definitely saturated the market with the truffles which is to our advantage. ;)

Oh, the truffles come in various flavors too. There's the regular, dark chocolate, white chocolate, mint and a few others.

Just about any chocolate is good, however, I voted for Cadbury's. I love their almond bar, too.

Another Lindt fan here , those truffles are to die for

I voted Ghiradelli but I LOVE Lindt. Did you know that Ghiradelli owns Lindt??? (or the other way around) My fav is the White Chocolate balls (truffles). Oh they are like butter melting in your mouth. For dd's bday I found a white chocolate bar (saw the wrapper so grabbed it) and it ended up being White Chocolate with Coconut (she hates coconut) so I'm putting it in my stocking for Christmas (because I love both). I can't wait to see how it is.

I voted for 'other' because I haven't ever met chocolate that I didn't like, I couldn't pick just one.

I voted Cadbury but it has to be the chocolate made in England (yes it does taste different!!)

Absolutely! The best stuff ever! My favorite are the Flake bars- I can now buy them for $1 a piece at the Central Market in Austin.

And I just paid $2.25 each for the Curly Wurly bars they sell at the UK pavillion at Epcot! My hubbie was a little miffed that I didn't share :smooth:

I like Godiva, but I voted other. My favorite is a Ritter sport bar. I got hooked on those in highschool when our German exchange student brought them in. I have found them at some local grocery stores as well as Cost Plus World Market. Good stuff!

My absolute favorite is Scharffenberger, hands down. I'm so happy that I have a few shops locally that I can get it-back in Maryland, I'd make an hour drive to get some!

The mall that I work in has a See's kiosk this year-I'm in love with it. Their peanut brittle bars are the best. You can beat peanuts covered with their yummy chocolate.

But I'm not a snob, if there's chocolate, I will probably eat it!

I'm glad I started this thread! There are several brands mentioned that I've never heard of; Ritter, Grimaldi's and Scharffenberger.

These are all excellent chocolates. I've visited Hershey's in Pennsylvania and I've visited Ghiradelli in San Francisco. Both are excellent, as is Cadbury's. Anyone heard of Callebaut chocolate? Someone who thought they know best told me this is the best chocolate, yet it's not mentioned here on this poll.

Leonidas - yummmmmm, we always come back with a few pounds of it when we go to France/Belgium.

Apparently I have to get me some Lindt's!!!! ;)

I voted for Godiva - I get dark chocolate truffles for Valentine's Day. At Easter it's Dove.... so for Christmas I should start a new tradition - Lindt's.
