The best bag for Disney?

i'm a big fan of anything vera bradley...the back sack is awesome for the park & is on sale right not in certain patterns for $20 !!!!

This thread started a while back....so I'm wondering. For those of you that ordered from Sierra Trading, the donner bag, did they have different colors or something when you ordered a few months ago? Now all I see is the pastel colors with grey interior. I have one from a few years ago, it's the cayenne color (red) with the black inside. I love it....but would love to get another one in a different color. The ones online now at Sierra and REI are pastel looking and grey straps....they don't look like mine at all. Mine actually looks like the Placer colors on Sierra Trading....but the dimensions are the same as the Donner.

There are a ton of colors available on zappos.com, and almost as many available on ebags.com. I don't like the ones with the weird light gray straps either...it reminds me of a seatbelt. :)

I have a baggalini and I love it---I bought it after reading a rave review on disboards and I really do like it. It's coming to WDW next month, and I carried it all around Seattle for 10 days in August with no issues. I love the strap going crosswise across my chest---I was able to clip my cellphone on to it (cell phone between me and the strap) and also got a camera case that hooks onto the strap. So the 2 things I'd need to access most often are right there!

I have to stop reading through this thread because then I may be tempted to buy more.

Hi All,

I see that it's been awhile since anyone posted on this thread. Just wondering what those that purchased the Overland Donner bag are still thinking of it?

I am considering ordering one for my trip in 2.5 weeks. I found one at this link...this is the one y'all recommend, right?

Thanks!

I love my Overland Donner bag. The best part for me is the side pockets that are perfect for holding water bottles. I like that the main compartment is open and can hold a variety of things and the outer pocket for organizing things that I want to get to quickly.

I also love that even though I'm a larger woman, the strap is plenty long for me to wear it cross body without it riding up and feeling like it's restraining me.

Thanks Julie.

For those that have said the strap "digs in" to your shoulder.....have you found a solution to that? I can foresee that being an issue with me....I am shoulder-strap-sensitive, and I'm sure I'll have the bag rather full.

Thanks!

I have not found a solution to the shoulder digging! I love the bag otherwise, but my husband carried the bag most of the time our last trip as his shirts came up closer to his neck and it wasn't such an issue with him. I won't be taking it our next trip in a couple of weeks because he'll be carrying our camera bag. I'm taking a Vera hipster so I don't have to deal with the Overland's issues. I found I don't need to carry as much stuff into the parks anyway...

If you havn't tried a Kipling bag...they are GREAT!! Enough room for everything. I have two different ones, the Lancelot and the Eldorado. The Lancelot I use eveyday. I like the fact that it's not too big and I can wear it cross body. They are very well made and easy to clean.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like that they look smaller than the Overland Donner, but it doesn't appear that they can hold a water bottle...?

With two small kids, I'm feeling like that's a must.

Any other suggestions? I will probably go with the Overland bag, but I'm just a little nervous about the straps being uncomfortable on my shoulder/neck.

You can put a water bottle in the back zipper part. I carry my 20oz. Diet Mt. Dew everywhere I go (hard to find sometimes) and I stash it in there all the time.

I'm in the market for a new bag. We are planning a trip in May. I would prefer a small area to keep tickets and fast passes, and would love a pocket for a water bottle. Does anyone swear by the bag they bought?
