Ok, I know I've read on here about posters who love this band. I am not familiar with them, but I recently discovered that they did a cover of my favorite band of all time- Blind Melon. The song they covered was "Change". Does anyone know where I can find the song online? I'd love to hear their version of it! Thanks!

If you have limewire, I'm sure you can find it on there. If not, try googling it. Some sites might pop up that you can d/l from.
They are an AWESOME band! :thumbsup2 Good luck finding it.

I googled it too. No luck. I also checked Limewire. :confused3 Where did you hear that they've done this song?
The only re-make I know of them doing is Simple Man (I like their version better than Lynyrd Skynyrd...Shhh don't mention that to my brother!)

The Blind Melon cover was never recorded in a studio--it was performed live only. They are in the studio recording #3 right now, and there's always a possibility it will end up as a "B-side."

I saw them perform "Change" a couple months ago, they did a really nice job with it. :thumbsup2

They are my favorite band! :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 I was hoping you would see my post! I thought it was you that talked about "Shinedown". How was their version of "Change"? Shannon Hoon had such a unique voice- I imagine it's a pretty hard song to cover.

***I'm off to add Shinedown to my IPOD****!!!!

I was looking at some Blind Melon websites and someone mentioned that Shinedown had done a cover of Change. I have been a HUGE Blind Melon fan for years- since the bginning. I had tickets to the concert that didn't happen at Tipitina's the night Shannon Hoon died.

Bumping this thread.

Leave a Whisper was re-released last month. (Change was not among the bonus tracks, if anyone was wondering.)

I'm not really a Shinedown fan -- they seem to be two different bands. Right now I'm listening to The Sound of Madness, and I like If You Only Knew, Second Chance, Call Me, What a Shame, and Breaking Inside, but absolutely hate Devour, Cry for Help, Sound of Madness, Cynaide Sweet Tooth Suicide, and Sin With A Grin.

Is there anyone else with this love/hate relationship with Shinedown? If you like the same songs I like, and hate the same songs I hate, what other bands do you listen to? I'm always looking for new bands to check out.

It was strange seeing this old thread in my subbed threads. The ONLY two cds that I can listen to without skipping past any songs is Three Doors Down "Seventeen Days" and Matchbox 20 "Yourself or Someone Like You" so it's not that crazy to hate half of a cd. I like the types of bands I just mentioned, mostly rock music.
