The BALD and the BEAUTIFUL go to DIZZY world! 4/2 epcot!

Just joining in. We will be spending four nights at Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa and can't wait to hear what you thought of it.

You definitely get my KUDOS for writing this TR Live!! :thumbsup2

Now, I hope you got some jacuzzi time in tonight to reward yourself. :goodvibes

Joining in and I have to give you a kazillion kudos for posting a live report with two little ones! I loved the pic of Jayden after he just woke up at T-Rex - how cute!

I had a question - did you say you bought basic park tickets or hoppers? I was looking at your itinerary for the next couple of days and got confused when you said you may visit one park in the morning and another park later in the day. I bought basic park tickets on our last trip in 2008 and at first I thought I should have bought hoppers but I was solo for the first 4 days so one park a day worked out great for me plus when my DD and DGS (14 mos old at that time) joined me a few days later, we could only handle one park a day.

Our next trip we definitely want hoppers - it's so fun to visit AK in the morning and then hop over to MK at night to watch Wishes. You sound like you are having a great time already - both families are adorable!

Thanks for joining....... We'll we bought 8 day tickets so we could go between two parks on two days... But we're not sure if we're allowed to do that now? We'll find out tomorrow... So we might do a park on the day we leave for a few hours. I'll let ya know what we find out.

Park hoppers are a great idea, when the parks are open later at night. The parks right now are normally open till 7, so we figured it wasn't worth it.

Another great update! Jayden is too adorable with those Mickey ears!! I can't wait to hear how the next day went

I really wanted to get him his first pair of mickey ears, but his head is just too darn small right now. Nothing fits.

Sure didn't feel small on delivery day though. :rotfl:

Great TR, the family is BEAUTIFUL!! And the updates are great!!!! Glad you got to try TREX and Rhea ended up enjoying it! 'sorry the steak sandwich sucked :( But REALLY glad the flight went well!

Thanks! Thanks! and Thanks! :goodvibes

Oh, I love DHS!

I can't wait to hear how she did with the characters!

I love DHS too, but we agreed it's not the best of the 4 parks to take younger kids.

Coming out of lurkdom to say thank you so much for taking time out of your trip to post updates. I hope you are having a great time! Looking forward to more. :thumbsup2

I'm glad you decided to come out ouf "lurkdom" and THANK YOU for reading!

Sounds like fun so far!

Sweet, patient Reya waiting for you to do all those rides! How exciting that she's 40 inches though, that's great! Can't wait to hear what she rides! DS is nowhere close at this point, he's like 36 inches at 3 years 3 months!

Glad Reya liked the beauty and the beast show! Jayden is so cute all snuggled up in his stroller!

How did Valerie and Breanna like their first pin-trading experience? Reya looks adorable with all those pins!

Can't wait to hear about lunch and the characters! Thanks for the update!
I felt so bad for Reya, but she didn't complain once. I was SHOCKED :scared1:, she was at 40 inches. She must have hit a MAJOR growth spurt.

Valerie and Breanna loved trading their pins.... I had to nudge them the first time because they were too shy. I still do from time to time but they're getting better at it.... Reya hasn't been doing much of it though.

I'm hoping to get an update tonight, but it hasn't been the best day and poor Will might be coming down with something. He's been in bed since 6:00 tonight. We're hoping he's not getting sick and that he's just sore and tired from the last 6 nights.

Hi Deanna, I hope you are having a fabulous time and that it has warmed up some. It was so cold this past weekend, well until we left on Sunday that is...then it was beautiful, just as we left :( But we had a great trip, just too short.

I'm just catching up, looks like you had a great time at DTD and DHS so far!

On Saturday, I saw your DH (carrying Jayden) and your DBIL. They were walking in the opposite direction of us as we walked toward Splash Mountain, so they were walking in frontierland. I did a double take and said to my DSis, "hey, I recognize that guy" :lmao: I took a quick look around but I didn't see you or Reya anywhere in sight?! So we almost had a Dismeet

Looking forward to more updates popcorn::

I think Saturday was the worse day too.... It was freezing!! Especially after the sun went down. The last couple of days have been perfect though. I don't think I could have asked for beter weather today. ((Just to bad we went to Universal Studios and not a disney park)) We were SOOOO disappointed with our day today. (Will explain later.))

That's so funny that you saw DH, DS, and DBIL. I bet you walked right past us. If it was earlier in the day we were probably getting pictures with Jessie, or if it was later in the day we were meeting up with them to do POTC again. That would have been so cool if we could've met.

I hope you had a great time and the 5k went well.

Just got caught up on your trip report. We went in January 2009 and it was so COLD in January, one morning there was frost on the grass. We couldn't believe it.
Have a great trip.

I know, it's so weird to think of cold weather in Florida. We're from Colorado and 60 degrees feels wonderful, here it's chilly. They had frost here one morning too. (Blew my mind) We didn't bring jackets or very many warmer clothes. On saturday I think MK sold out of Sweat Shirts.... We went into one of the gift shops and the racks were practically empty.

It's so exciting you are there! Hope you are having a great time! :) When we were at Universal Islands of Adventure, we went to the Comic Strip Cafe (I think that's what it's called ) in the Toon area and it had a decent selection. Also the Jurassic Park building has a pretty good counter service place to eat. Can't wait to read more! :)
We went to Comic Strip cafe today and it was HORRIBLE! We ate there once before and I thought it was pretty good, but today it was pretty disgusting. ((Thanks for reading :goodvibes))

Hey Deanna! I'm so sorry I forgot to come over from your PTR :sad2: I'm here now, all caught up and looking forward to more! :thumbsup2

Glad you're here! :thumbsup2

Great update, sounds like ya'll are having lots of fun!
That stinks that Valerie got blisters, I get that too from my shoes, so I normally weear flip flops around the parks. Glad you resolved that problem though!

Disney is not the place to break-in new shoes that is for sure. Reya, Valerie, Breanna and I have been wearing bandaids on our feet all week due to shoe problems.

Just joining in. We will be spending for nights at Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa and can't wait to hear what you thought of it.

It's not the best place I've stayed at, but it's not the worst either. Are you staying in a two, three, or four bedroom? I'll give you a full review of my experience when it's over... thanks for reading?

You definitely get my KUDOS for writing this TR Live!! :thumbsup2

Now, I hope you got some jacuzzi time in tonight to reward yourself. :goodvibes

Ahhhhh thanks......

I wanted and needed so bad to use it today, but poor DH has been sick all day and is sleeping in the bedroom. The tub is right next to the bed and the jets are super loud.... Maybe one day this week.....Geezzz! :rotfl:

I'm sorry Comic Cafe was horrible. I feel bad suggesting it. Hope your DH feels better. Hope the next few days are fabulous. :)

:lmao: Don't feel bad. They had a great selection, it's just that the food was horrible.. DH and I ordered the chili dogs and daughter ordered the chicken strips. YUCKY! I know we ate there once before, and I didn't think it was that bad. But then again, IOA used to be one of my favorite parks and today was one of the worst vacation days ever. I really feel like that park is going downhill. I hope that the harry potter area turns out amazing. Otherwise I don't think I'll ever go there again.

Another great update!! I love Jayden's Goofy....so cute!!

I think you made the right decision about Reya and ToT....I made that mistake on our first trip and it ruined her for the next 2.....so good decision:thumbsup2

March 5th - Day 2 continued

When we finally met up with the boys, I had asked them what time the FP’s for Toy Story Mania were and what had taken them so long? Will, proceeds to tell me that they couldn’t find the ride, and that it’s not actually located a DHS, it’s located at Magic Kingdom. We then argued back and forth for several minutes, before I asked a nice hostess at the restaurant. It turns out he and Victor thought I was talking about the Buzz Lightyear ride. Grrrrrr, I was so mad!! :sad2: I had really wanted them to get those FP’s so we’d be able to go and ride it after lunch and so Reya would actually get a chance to ride something. And on top of the fact that they didn’t get the FP’s, they decided to ride Star Tours without telling us. It didn’t upset me so much that they rode it, it upset me that they were gone so long and couldn’t call us to tell us where they were. We had tried several times to get a hold of them and they never answered their cell phones. :sad2:

Anyway, after waiting about 10 minutes we were finally seated. :yay:

We didn’t bring Jayden’s carseat/infant carrier with us. We decided ahead of time that we wouldn’t bring it with us to any of the theme parks that way if Reya got tired and wanted to nap she could sleep in the stroller and one of us could carry Jayden or put him in his Baby Bjourn. Thus far this has been proven to be a good thing and a bad thing. It’s great, because Reya has needed to use the stroller on many occasions:thumbsup2 and it’s bad because we have no place for Jayden to sit when we go to eat. :rolleyes1 So, one of us always has to hold him during meals. Luckily we were sitting at a table that consisted of table chairs and a bench, so I just laid him next to me on a blanket and kept a close eye on him so he wouldn’t roll off.

Florida046.jpg

Our waiter was a pretty cool guy, who posed as our “Brother Joey”! :lmao: He was sweet to the kids and kept calling Reya a perfect little Angel. (Yeah, right…… if he only knew the truth)

Florida041.jpg

While we were waiting for our food, I went back to talking to DH about how disappointed I was that he didn’t get the FP’s for TSM. He told me he understood and that while we were waiting for our meals, he would run over there really quick to pick up the FP’s. ;) I showed him a map of the park, so he wouldn’t get lost this time.:thumbsup2

He arrived back to the restaurant just as our food had arrived. I ordered the stacked sandwich, Will ordered the Meatloaf, Marsha ordered the Pot Pie, Victor ordered the Stacked Sandwich, and Reya shared off the girls plates. ((Don’t remember what they got))

I’m not sure what everyone else thought about their food choices, but I thought the Sandwich was pretty good and the onion rings were AMAZING!!! Probably the best I’ve ever had!

While we were eating our food there was this table full of mothers and their young teenage daughters seated across from us. I guess two of the girls didn’t eat their vegetables and their waiter made a huge deal out of it. He made both of them get up and stick their noses in a corner. :lmao: A few minutes later the manager comes over and scolds them for not eating their veggies. They both tell him that they hate their vegetables except for carrots. The manager then asked them, if he were to just bring them carrots, would they eat them ALL. They said “sure, of course we will”! So he comes out with two HUGE plates filled with raw carrots. :lmao:

Florida051.jpg

They couldn’t finish eating all of it ((who could?)) so he made them get up in front of the restaurant and perform “I’m a Little tea-cup”! I thought it was hilarious at first, but after 20 minutes or so of the screaming and laughing that came from that particular table I was ready to get out of there. :headache: I excused myself from the table to use the ladies room and to change Jayden’s diaper. I wanted to leave once I returned to the table but there was desert waiting for me once I did.:woohoo:

Florida049.jpg

I guess I could deal with a little more of the annoying teenagers, while Reya and I shared our yummy treat that daddy ordered for us.

Florida050.jpg

After lunch we loaded Jayden in the baby Bjourn and Reya on Uncle Vics shoulders and headed towards the Great Movie Ride, it was something all 7 of us could ride together and since Jayden was wide awake, I thought it was a good choice.

Florida052.jpg

Florida053-1.jpg

Florida055.jpg

I actually love this ride. I know it’s sorta lame, but I love it nonetheless. Jayden must not have thought it was all that exciting since he fell asleep about 2 minutes into it.

Next we headed over to watch the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I liked it and I know that Reya did as well. I don’t know about Will and Jayden though, since they BOTH slept during the performance. :confused3

After the show we made our way to the Toy Story area to see how long the standby line for Toy Story Mania was.

Florida084-1.jpg

It was 80 minutes!! I was glad I sent Will to get those FP’s because the kiosks to get the FP’s were closed for the day. If we didn’t have the ones that Will got, we wouldn’t get a chance to ride it. I refuse to stand in line for anything that is over a 30 minute wait.

To be continued ……………

Oh, I'm so glad that you ended up getting your TSMM FPs! I'm with you, I would have been a bit peeved at the lack of communication there, but it sounds like it all worked out :thumbsup2

I also love The Great Movie Ride, it's a must do for me!

Love the pictures from lunch. Good thing Jayden is still too little to roll (or to grab food off your plate, for that matter!)

That desert looks delicious! I like Prime Time, but it gets to be too much for me sometimes.

Glad you got fastpasses! 80 minutes is way too long!

I can't believe you are on your trip and reporting in as well! With an infant no less:worship: You are quite a woman!! Glad you are having a good trip, and loving your report!!

I busted up reading about the teenage girls not eating their vegetables. I definitely need to bring my girls there next time we go.

Yeah, TSM always seems to have a wait time (it is a good ride, but the wait times are simply crazy). Thank goodness you had your FP.

So happy you had a great experience at 50's Prime Time Cafe....and I whole heartedly agree with you...best onion rings ever....I think next time I'll just order those and dessert:lmao:

I think my DH has "selective hearing" . I was really mad, but I was trying not to sound like such a nagging wife in front of everyone.

It was pretty good!

That was the first time that we have ever eaten there. I'm glad we didn't have the same waiter as that table did. I think they called him "Mean uncle Jim" .... And I'm glad that I didn't get any veggies. :rotfl2: I didn't eat the crust on my bread, so I was getting ready for our waiter to give me a hard time.... but he didn't thank goodness.

It just blows my mind that some people wait so long in line for some things. I don't feel like waisting my time standing in line. That's what fP's are for, right?!:confused3

I can't believe you are on your trip and reporting in as well! With an infant no less:worship: You are quite a woman!! Glad you are having a good trip, and loving your report!!

Awwwwee. Thank you, thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying.

We hare having a great time. .. Today wasn't the best day, it's being raining ALL day and we went to Universal. ((Have NOT been happy with universal this time around))

It was fun entertainment.... But the girls got really loud and obnoxious after awhile. Def. take your girls. How old are they?

Onion rings and a root beer sound so amazing right now. Those onion rings were massive too, def. enough to share. mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmmm!!

Next we went to JOURNEY INTO NARNIA. This was a first for me, and to be truthful, I thought it was a waste of time. :sad2:

After we were finished we went to get some popcorn and soda from a Vendor in the Toy Story area. popcorn::

The line seemed to take forever, so I headed for a bench to sit down at while Marsha and Victor waited. When I did I noticed Buzz and Woody through some windows taking photos and giving autographs. I asked the girls if they wanted to meet them and Breanna and Valerie responded with enthusiasm, :yay:while Reya was a little leery. The girls and I finally convinced her, so I took the three of them to get in line.
For those of you who read my PTR, you know that my daughter is terrified of costumed characters. She’ll scream and cry if there is one anywhere near her. :scared1: This was going to be our test run to see if she had outgrown her fear at all. As we were waiting in line, we got some cute photos. ((Reya was having a good time))

After a 20 minute wait, it was our turn. The older girls walked right up and Reya just stood there, frozen in fear. I was finally able to nudge her up . She ran up to Woody gave him a quick hug and RAN back to me. I told her she needed to go stand with the girls and get her picture taken, which she reluctantly did. She was a little scared you could tell, but she didn’t scream and cry. I think she wanted to poop her pants, but she didn’t scream or cry.:lmao:

After we were finished, she was SOOOOOO proud of herself. Me and daddy were proud of her too!:cutie:
