I was looking at the People Magazine article about the Bachelorette. She is smiling more and appears to be closer to Ian in the photo, than to Matt in that photo. I keep hoping she'll choose Matt, but I bet it's going to be Ian.

I think it's so funny how people are reading this one so differently. The only reason I would say Matt, is because I thought they were making it so obvious how much she prefered Ian.

I think it will be Ian The show seems to be suggesting that it will be Matt though. They're making him seem like a more dependable and all over perfect choice for a husband.

Well.....it's Ian!!

I have always rooted for Matt from the beginning...I don't know why, but I just liked him better!! After seeing the rose ceremony though I have to admit her and Ian were good together!! They were all over each other though

Anyways, they looked like quite the happy couple

I do wonder though if it will last. I was so certain that Matt would stick it out with her if she picked him. I can't say the same for Ian...he seems so scared of commitment!

I hereby vote for Matthew to be the next Bachelor
I felt sooooooo bad for him tonight, it was so clear how much he loved her and I've never seen someone so genuinely upset like he was, my heart just broke for him (Besides did you see how hairy Ian was when he was in the bathroom......YUUUUUCK...Matthew was wayyy sexier, lol)
Who knows, maybe it will work, but Ian with that AWFUL proposal (didn't even say I LOVE YOU to her) I am betting it won't work.

At first I thought the same thing for him to be the next Bachelor, BUT have you noticed they all end up getting such bad publicity afterwards. He is just so sweet I would hate for him to have to deal with that.

I can't believe how classy Matt was about the whole thing!
But, I thought that Ian and Meredith had an explosive chemistry from the beginning. I thought it was so endearing when Ian said, "I'm scared". It actually brought a tear to my eyes! What a sap I am!

I do agree that Matthew is just too darn sweet.....maybe TOO sweet to be the next Bachelor, lol. I just wanted to hug him when he was in the limo....you could just see his heart breaking.

I'm actually disliking MEREDITH right now! She all but begged Matt to give her a ring and then she picked Ian. If she knew in her heart that she loved Ian she wouldn't have said that to Matt. I actually feel bad for both of them. Matt for honestly being in love with her and Ian for proposing before he saw what all she said to Matt.

Matt seemed so perfect but I did bawl at the end because Ian seemed very sincere to me, Meredith never gave him the chance to actually ask the questions. I hope for Ian's sake that they are happy together. He really doesn't deserve to see the things she was saying to Matthew.

As soon as she was saying all those things to Matt I turned around and told DH that she was going to choose Ian, why did she have to do that? It totally ticked me off. It's one thing to unintentionally hurt somebody but it's another when you have the guy convinced you're choosing him, then rip his heart out.

I'm sure the people from the show coach them to say something nice and then turn around with a big BUT. From what I remember from the finales that I watched before, I think they all did that.

Ian should be flattered to hear what she said to Matthew... well, at the send-off, at least. I don't think I'd want to see the clips from their dates, though, if I were him.

Poor Matthew is all I have to say....but he will make someone really happy one day. I hope he comes back as The Bachelor one day.

I deliberately tape the last show of the Bachelor/Bachelorette because I always know that the first one out of the limo is the loser...

I rewind the tape until I see someone getting out of a limo and I don't see which one came first. When I heard her being soooo nice to Matthew I could hear the thud of the big BUT... it broke my heart because he is such a sweetheart.

I was so SURE it was Ian until tonight. I'm sure the director did the ring thing with Matthew to throw us off and boy did it work! I was taken a bit back because I was so sure it was Ian. From the very beginning I could SMELL her attraction to him, it was animal! IMHO it's lust, not love.

We'll see....
