The Bachelorette-May 24-NO SPOILERS

I felt so bad for Chris last night. Poor guy. He was so sure he was going to be proposing to her. And I never saw that breakup comming. I am glad she didn't make him go through the last day.

And how about that rainbow??? That was just awsome. I have to admit, I was crying like a baby.

I do wish Allie and Roberto well. I hope they make it in the real world

Bring on the Bachelor Pad!!!!!!

Well since the season is over I guess, I can say this, Reality Steve the person who usually gives out all the rumors for the season was way off!!!!! First he said it was Chris who got the F1 and then it went to she picked no one. I'm happy for her and Roberto they looked happy.

My heart broke for Chris what a stand up guy, I would love to see either him or Kirk as the next Bachelor.

What I found kind of interesting is that when Ali was on the Bachelor and she took Jake home for her home town date, he didn't get to meet her parents, she had said they did not believe in this process. So she showed him around her dead grandmothers house.
So what swayed them to meet Ali's two suiters....perhaps a free trip to Tahiti??....LOL

Jake did meet her mom and had dinner with them...her parents are divorced, you are thinking of another season.

I have been reading they turned down the trip to Cantalina sp?. They just want to start a normal life

He updated before the final episode aired with the final info and it was spot on...I never checked back to see the update in time and my DH and I were watching last night and looking at each other like.."What? That's not what Reality Steve said!!!" But I was on his site after and the update was there!!

after the final rose was just as dull as most of that season.

with 3 exceptions all caused by men - craig going after the weatherman, justin's exsit and franks exit. though the last one wasn't as interesting as justin's. maybe if they didn't promote it to death it would have been more of a shocker.

i have no doubt that in 6 -8 months we'll be hearing they have split up and she's on the journey to finding love again.

I'm sure it will be amazing. She's so lucky.:lmao:

Not really. Frank didn't show up!

Yet didn't Chris announce at the Men Tell All thing that Frank would be there for the After The Final Rose Show? I mean, there's "creative" editing, then there's out and out lying.

Chris Harrison mentioned last night that Frank was supposed to be there, but then backed out. I'm not sure what the timing is for the After the Final Rose taping, but it could have been a last minute change.

I was totally put off my Ali's mom. First of all, she kept asking him about his mom when clearly he was uncomfortable talking about her. The other thing was she said "did your mom stay home, or did she have to work?". My DH looked at me and said "have to work?" "that is a pretty rude thing to say". I told him that I hoped if someody ever asked that of my kids they would say "she did not HAVE to work, she WANTED to work". I think it is pretty presumptuous for someone to think that if a woman works, it is because she has to work.

My money is on Chris for the next Bachelor. He seems to be a viewer favorite. No other guy stands out to me at all. Either Chris, or they will go back to choosing a brand new person.

I actually liked Ali's mother, but that "have to work" comment made me . But even tho Chris appeared uncomfortable talking about his mother, I think it may be more that he was just emotional about it. Sometimes the worst thing you can do is avoid talking about the deceased person. In this situation, the topic WAS about family, and upbringings, and expectations, and Chris's mother was part of that.

And as much as I liked Chris, I kind of felt like his whole identity was the fact that his mother died. I'm sure it was very tragic for him and his family, and it really wasn't that long ago, and still pretty raw, but still...it seemed like it defined who he was. But I guess that's what they wanted to focus on...how important his family was, how devoted he'd be (having gone back home to help care for his mother), and all that. It seems like we found out WAY more about him in his 20 minute air time with her family than we did the whole season.

I would hate to see either Kirk or Chris as the next Bachelor because to pull off an entertaining and dramatic (the most dramatic ever! LOL) season, the producers would have to put them in situations where they have to act like jerks, and I'd hate to see that happen and ruin the fantasy for me. Esp with Kirk. As much as I'd love a whole season of him. :)

I just want to say that Roberto was my favorite from the start (well, he and Frank :lmao:). Anyway ... there seems to be something genuine between Ali and Roberto. I don't understand about people not seeing the chemistry. I saw it from the start and I see it tonight. It's not an over the top giddy type of chemistry. It's more of a quiet kind of chemistry. I really hope they make it.

I agree. Roberto was my favorite from the get-go as well. My impression was that she was just bursting to tell him how she felt, but had to hold back to make the show interesting. Like all the other guys were there just to pass the time until the final rose ceremony. She was smitten with him from the start...and I was too!

I didn't see the checmistry between her and Frank. Maybe it was because I thought he was a specky git who reminded me of my sister's ex-boyfriend.

I felt bad for Chris. Poor guy. Sadly, the first time I actually thought he looked attractive was when Ali was sending him home. He reminded me of Judge Reinhold, and I couldn't see past it! :rotfl:

Ali's mother....

And, the fact that all the women really attacked Ali's and Roberto's very obvious romantic spark... :sad2:
Like, pull back in the claws, ladies.

Ali's dad was the one who really saw these men and made the right calls... I was like, "Ali, don't listen to these women.. LISTEN TO YOUR DAD!!!!"

I am sure that Chris is a very nice/great guy in many ways.... But, HOLY COW.... I have been close enough to somebody like him to see the truth... He is a full grown, nearly 30 year old, Mama and Daddy's boy, who seems incapable of actually doing or showing anything, AT ALL. He was so uptight and 'stiff' every moment every time you saw him.

I was like, RUN, Ali... RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank goodness Ali did the right thing.
100% of the effort in their so-called 'slow moving' relationship was all on Ali's part. WAY TO MUCH WORK.

When all a nearly 30 year old, grown man, can do is go on and on ad-nauseum about how amazingly wonderful mommy and daddy are, and cries for mommy nearly two years after her death.... It seems he lives, works, eats, and breathes with his dad and the memory of his mom.... :confused3

PS: I have lost both of my parents... My DH has lost his Father, whom was his God.... I understand that it must have been painful to see her pass away.... but....

Sadly, the first time I actually thought he looked attractive was when Ali was sending him home.

OMG, I thought the same thing.....
I told my DH who sometimes halfway follows the train-wreck as I watch... "Boy, funny how he seemed to grow up about 15 years in this 30 seconds....."

I could only stand half an hour of ATFR. I honestly think the best parts of the show these past couple of weeks was getting to see Tahiti.

I 100% agree. Her mom was being so inappropriate. I could not believe she asked Chris to tell her about his mother's death. What a jerk!
