I wasn't sure all night who Andrew was going to pick until Kirsten's limo arrived first. The editing was good on this one. Then, you could tell from the way she approached him that she wasn't so confident anymore that he might pick her. Kirsten seems to be nice when she wants to be, but more than five times has shown she has a vicous nature to herself...i couldn't believe that look she had in the kitchen when Andrew asked her about her ex-boyfriend. Anyway, there seemed to just be a physical attraction between them rather than a full connection like he had with Jen. He really appeared to completley adore her whenever he was with her. I couldn't imagine Jen having another "side" to her that's gonna suddenly come out. I think for once, this nice, caring woman won the guy with her honesty and loving nature. I hope that they make it!

Hmm I had substance when I graduated from UF. Maybe I'm not understanding that quote correctly.

I don't think you can go on TV and find the love of your life. This one, like most of the other "connections", most likely will not work out. But I guess we'll see. I was not a big Jen fan. I really liked Tina.

I was thrilled with Andrew's decision. Kirsten drove me absolutely crazy - that voice - that would drive me crazy! I agree that she has some growing up to do.

Who knows if they grilled Kirsten more than they grilled Jen, it's all about the editing. We also don't know if it was Jen that said anything about the old boyfriend or how it was brought up. Do we know that their dinners with the family were on consecutive nights or was it possible that Andrew was talking to his family and brought it up?


I hope it works out - I don't think it will. I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but I just didn't feel it with this one. I think it's possible to find true love anywhere so who knows.

I was so uncertain all night long who he was going to pick. It was like he kept flipping a switch. Thank goodness his family got to meet both because I think there was a lot said that influenced Andrew's decision. I really think they helped him see what Kirsten was all about.

Did you guys see the last date when Kirsten and Andrew were in the kitchen and he brought up the boyfriend again?!?! The look she shot him...OMG...my husband and I just looked at each other with disbelief! Talk about looks that could kill!

I got tired of trying to follow Kirsten's answers to everything. It was like she was just trying to give the answers that everyone wanted to hear. I think Jen was much more sincere and honest. Can't wait until Wednesday!!

I was so happy when Kirsten got out of that first limo!! She drove me crazy, that voice and speech was like a valley girl or something. I don't think that she would have fit into the Firestone family at all. Jen, on the other hand, is poised, charming and mature, and I think that she blended so well with the family. I think that she's very genuine, she a nice girl that maybe didn't show as much of herself because she was afraid of being hurt in the end. I found her to be very real last night when she was saying how afraid she was to not be picked, etc. That's how I would have felt, too.

And, did you notice how Kirsten, after she got out of the limo, they were playing her talking about how she was confident that Andrew picked her, and that she's the right choice, whatever, but when Jen got out of the limo they were playing her saying that she didn't think it was her. She was just more real to me, Kirsten is full of herself. I hope it works out for them.

Has anyone heard anything lately about Trista and Ryan, are they still planning to get married? And I can't wait for Bob the Bachelor! I love him, heck, if I wasn't already married, I would have to apply!

DH and I were so glad that Andrew picked Jen. Kirsten's voice drove me up the wall! And I think she acted very immature. Jen just seemed so nice and laid back.

I think Andrew's final four was quite interesting. Christina, Tina, and Kirsten all seemed to have similar qualities, aggressive, outspoken, very forward and out there. And Jen seemed to be the opposite of those three, more reserved, soft spoken and laid back.

Andrew's Brother also said that Jen was holding back her feelings on Kirsten when asked about her. I doubt that she was the one who brought up the Ex boyfriend. Andrew probably talked to his family after Jen left and got them ready for Kirsten's visit.

I hope they last.

I too was thrilled with the ending. Kirsten showed her true colors at the end in the limo. To his face she tells him "I just want you to be happy", but the minute she gets in the limo she says that the thought of Jen and Andrew together makes her want to throw up.

I'm not sure who posted about not liking his family, but I totally disagree. I thought his family was incredibly real and down to earth, considering how much money and history they have. They seemed to be genuinely close and really wanted the best for him. You could tell they didn't like Kirsten as much as Jen, but yet they didn't try to sway him, other than his brother pointing out about the ex boyfriend. They seemed very welcoming to both girls. I guess I was expecting a much more uptight and formal family atmosphere.

I did kind of chuckle when his sisters pointed out to Kirsten that everyone in the family works very hard, and that nobody lays around. Funny, they didn't point that out to Jen! Kirsten's comments about Jen not fitting in because she didn't like animals were kind of nasty too. I would LOVE to know what he thinks of Kirsten now that he's seen the show and what she's really like.

I think they did that because Kirsten said something about her parents liking the fact that Andrew works, that they at first were taken aback by the Firestone name, but were impressed when they found out that he actually does work at the vineyard. I guess Jen didn't say anything like that to make them say that to her?

I also would have loved to be a fly on the wall last night when Andrew and Jen were watching the show, Kirsten was just not nice, and that look she got on her face when he questioned her about her old boyfriend- yikes!! If looks could kill......

I was happy with last night's finale. I think Jen really has feelings for Andrew and Kirstin just wanted to win. It was so sweet when Andrew gave Jen the matching robes on their last date. Did he give Kirstin a gift? I don't remember seeing one. I also loved when he talked about how he picked the engagement ring saying it symbolized a large family, which is what they both want. They seem to be a good match. Are they doing some kind of show on Wednesday?

Wednesday is the "after the final rose" show - I guess we'll just get to see Andrew and Jen together and see what's going on. I'm sure they will bring Kirsten out to talk with them.

Ryan and Trista are still getting married - they are actually going to have a 2 hour wedding on ABC - I don't remember when though, but we'll all get to watch!!!!

Oh, man... I was away at a training class last week and couldn't DIS. I know that you'd all have mentioned that Sunday was the final show.

Darn it... I got to watch Six Feet Under and Queer as Folk, but I definitely would have turned on the Bachelor for the last 15 minutes instead of the Travel Channel.

I'm delighted by his choice. She seemed so much nicer than any of the other girls.

I agree with Jeafl about the family. They seemed so down to earth but I did expect that because of Andrew. He doesn't seem spoiled or obnoxious, you could look at him and tell that somewhere someone loved him. And you can tell that they do.

All in all I was so impressed with the end of this. Like his Mom said, Andrew likes "pretty things", like most men (OMG my son!) and they realized that Ms. Kirsten was alot of pretty with very little substance. She reminds me of a girl I used to work with (who, BTW, was from Tampa, too! ), she had a tendency to talk and talk and talk but you couldn't figure out just WHERE she was coming from?? She was also very status conscience and you can tell she didn't know much about wealthy people by the way she reacted to them.

The fact that Jen DIDN'T think she was going to win and the fact that Kirsten DID shows alot about their characters also. Jen, like Zora from Joe Millionaire and Ryan from the Bachelorette had a quality called "humility" which in MY world, is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

I was thrilled with the ending too. I could hardly stand hearing Kirsten speak. Did anyone watch Square Pegs back in the day? Everyone spoke with the word "like" in every sentence??? Well, hearing Kirsten speak brought that alllll back to me! Jen seems really genuine. Wonder if it will really work?

Is Bob from the Bachelorette DEFINITELY going to be the next Bachelor? I hadn't heard anything about that until reading this thread!

I am the one who posted about Kirsten graduating from UF and I ALSO graduated from UF! I wasn't saying that someone who graduated from Uf couldn't have substance. I was more so criticizing that OBNOXIOUS sister for expecting so much from a recent college grad who has not figured out what she is doing yet. Did I have substance when I graduated from UF? NO. Was I a good girl? yes. Good student? 3.8. Would I have impressed that lady with my "substance"? NO. I did not like his family because they didn't seem at all concerned with how they were coming across to Jen or Kirsten. It seemed very one-sided.

I almost couldn't bear to see the shot of the first limo as I was sure it was Jen. But when I saw Kirsten I was sooo glad. I know that we really only see what the editors want to show us, but I really thought that Andrew liked Kirsten better.

However, I knew that his family would like Jen much better. I had to laugh when Kirsten was speaking to his family (oy, that voice!) and she was saying how ambitious she was, but she could not tell them what her ambitions were! It was like the worst job interview I ever had! And Andrew kept smiling and saying she was "holding her own" and "doing great". Are you kidding? I never heard such a mish-mash of self promoting statements than what I heard from Kirsten. And she seemed very nervous and was talking a mile a minute. I could hardly follow her conversation, if you could call it that.

Oh well, I look forward to Weds show. I too had to laugh at the "dagger eyes"she shot Andrew when he mentioned her boyfriend. And then he says "I am satisfied with her explaination." When did she explain the fact that her boyfriend does not know she is on the show? I missed that. She just repeated the fact that she considered them broken up.

Did you catch her belly ring when they were in the jacuzzi? I had to laugh. Nothing against belly rings but it just seemed perfect for her. I don't imagine Jen with a pierced navel.

Bob the bachelor should be great!
