HELP! Missed the last part of the show when our DVR malfunctioned! who did Jake send home?

They definitely showed a Canadian flag in the previews. Jessie was the only one left from Canada and she left last week. There was another one but she left the first night.

I am guessing that is where they head after the home dates?

Wonder if they're in Vancouver? There are absolutely palm trees in that shot. It would be timely w/ the opening ceremonies next week. Definitely looked like it could be a Fairmont type hotel?

I hate to be catty, but I find Viena to be very physically unattractive... I know there is more to "love" than that, but I don't see her personality making up for it....

What she said! I also think he let a lot of girls go with better looks AND personalities than what he's left with now.
Vienna especially?......I don't get it at all.

I'm not surprised he sent Cori home - they've been uncomfortable with each other every time you see them together.

When he said last night that he was looking for a wife 'he could lean on', I thought, buddy-you've got maybe one girl in your sights who's tough enough to lean on-Ali. I don't think she has enough grace though. She's a meangirl.

I have a hard time believing Vienna would reject him in the end. She's in love with him right now-bordering on obsession!

Aside from what the girls are saying about Vienna, I find her incredibly annoying. She's got that "baby talk" kind of voice, with the immature "my daddy will always take care of me" personality. From what I've seen, she seems dumb as a box of rocks. Just MHO, of course! It all kind of makes me wonder if this is a set up by ABC and Jake has to go along with it, for the sake of good TV. Honestly, I can't see why he'd pick her (except maybe if it's for the good sex?!)

I'm stepping in now because I didn't know if I'd get sucked into this show, but I admit it now, so I want to share.

The fact that Vienna is so insecure bugs me. Aside from her looks and personality, why would she have to go searching through the catracombs for Gia and Jake last night? She'd have her time with him. The girls should learn to take a book or magazine on group dates because they know at some point in the night, they'll be waiting. Then, going to his room after they had all adjourned to bed... tacky... I bet her mother's proud.

I knew Cori was going home as soon as she told him she wouldn't live with him before they were married. It was all in the way he said, "why?" Good for you, Cori! Not everyone feels the need to live together before they get married. It's not a requirement.

So, as I see it, Jake should pick Aly if he wants to have a strong, independent woman who will lead him through life. He should pick Gia if he wants a woman who will let him be "the man" in the relationship. Tenley seems that she would be his equal in a relationship. Vienna will be his bratty little girl if he picks her.

One thing about this season that has me scratching my head is that ABC has made The Bachelor so glamorous throughout its seasons. This year, they have a guy who doesn't seem to live a glamorous life. He seems more into camping and the like. While he can certainly dress up and fit in, he likes the "regular guy" stuff more than the fancy stuff. So, we have a bunch of girls who go out in their high heels with their dress down clothes. A lot of the girls seem to be trying to hard to fit into that "hands dirty" sort of fun that Jake seems to like. I think that is part of the appeal for me this season.

The funniest thing last night was Cori, going to the park, in high heels. That almost beat out Ella going to SeaWorld in heels.

I wonder how Aly's boots survived going in the water.

Sadly, I felt like that was the work of the producers. Based on what I've seen of Vienna, I'm sure she didn't say, "Oh, no - I couldn't" when they suggested it, but I don't think it was her idea. I base that on my low opinion of the-powers-that-be on this show --- not on my high opinion of Vienna.

Oh, you and me both. Was it me or did you notice a slight moment of hesitation when Jake tried to take her into the water? I can't blame her. I'd be thinking about the boots as well ....

I am watching the episode online right now. I absolutely LOVE the scene where Jake took Ali in the water.

It had nothing to with them, though.... I loved watching that adorable dog fetch the ball in the water!

Ali is my favorite of who is left. I would be sad if she left!!! I haaaate Vienna.
