The Bachelor-Brad Womack Take 2--Monday, Jan. 3 NO SPOILERS!

Ouch. Did Brad just say he didn't feel anything when she told him she loved him?

He said he didn't feel the way he should. After he laid on the table, that's kind of understandable. :scared1: I'm glad he reassured her it wasn't because of her family. :thumbsup2

I'm glad Emily isn't staying overnight with him, well at least from the previews. Why do that when you aren't in a committed relationship?

I know. Makes me want to sign up for the next Bachelor! :thumbsup2

Maybe I should? I'm so against finding love this way because its creepy, but Im an amazing actress when it comes to guys. Hmmmm, be famous for a scandal, travel romantic places.:rolleyes1

Did they ever say where the girls went after Anguilla? Brad went to NY and then left from there, so are we really supposed to believe that Emily had not been home to see her daughter and 10 minutes after being reunited with her, he shows up? It just didn't seem like she hadn't seen her for weeks and weeks prior to when he got there. If it were me, I would have insisted that the camera guys give me a few minutes while I cry my eyes out seeing my child again, plus needing to check in with whomever had been watching her in my absence.

I can pretend to be in love  (over the chance to go to S. Africa, :thumbsup2) and cry when I get kicked off, as I won't be able to go to the other countries in future episodes.

Hmm, maybe you are onto something there. :scratchin

Your post about wealth earlier was very spot on!
I just read an article that mentions Mr. Hendrick's dealership (not even including his race team)
has sales of over 4.3 billion yearly. :scared1:

I had to re-read it again and again. The money he makes in racing must be nothing compared to that.

Okay, I just checked, Forbes listed Donald Trump as having (only) 2 Billion this year. Mr. Hendrick has more money than Trump. So basically, dating Emily is like dating Ivanka Trump & daughter. :faint:

Yes, I noticed she seemed to be the only one that the crew went with all the way home, so that she didn't get to visit with her family first. (I always assume the other gals families just fake seeing their DDs again for the first time, when they walk in the door. you can't it with a kid though.)

I figure they are milking this for the NASCAR crowd who they hope to hook into the show, making sure the show gets shots of of Emily's first meeting with her DD again.

I haven't seen the end yet, so I don't know what happened. I'm currently in the middle of Emily's hometown date.

To be honest, Emily almost seems like she's trying to move on through Brad, but I can see her still not having moved on from her boyfriend's death. As tough as that is, I can't see Brad being the number two guy in her life...

If I were her, I would pass on sex for absolute sure until I knew he was mine. She has too much to lose on national tv. What am I saying? this IS the Bachelor. She knows what she signed up for, right?

I thought "Shawntal N" handled herself pretty well. She will be fine. Her dad was relieved, I'm sure. I knew he wasn't into her a long time ago. He kept calling her 'Shawntal N." Not exactly romantic when a guy calls the other girl Chantal and can't just call you that too. WE all knew who he was talking about.

Someone on some interview cornered Trista Rehn, the first Bachelorette, about her overnights with both Ryan & Charlie, making it sound like she was a sl**. The guys defended her saying they just cuddled all nite.

I think she learned her lesson after doing the all nite mambo with Alex (the first Bachelor,) who ended up dumping her.

I wouldn't be surprised though if Brad pushes for sex off camera, saying he has to know if they are compatible. After all, as he keeps saying, he has a lot riding on this. He has to make sure he makes the right decision. It's all about how HE feels about the girls, not how they feel about him. :sad2:

Ohhh k....

I just finally caught up. I had a girl's night out, then I had to come home, watch my DVR'd Bachelor, and then read through all of the new pages of this thread. What a busy night!

I totally agree with whoever it was that mentioned Emily's homecoming/greeting her daughter. That HAD to be staged. As I was watching it I kept thinking, "You mean her daughter wasn't waiting at the airport? Where is all of her luggage? Was Brad on the same plane, because he's two steps behind her?" It's just too unbelievable. And what is the point of staging a fake "reunion" for our benefit?

Chantal's parents are movie-star rich and gorgeous!

I'm glad Brad didn't choose Shawntel, just for her poor Daddy's sake.

Ashley was a little too bubbly tonight for my taste. And I never knew that's how you pronounced poutine. I say poo-TEEN. I learned something tonight. Oh, I also never knew that Anderson Cooper was gay! I learned two things. Who says The Bachelor can't be smart television?

Now, as far as this "stay as a couple in our fantasy suite" nonsense. If Emily really does decline, my respect and admiration for her will go through the roof. Well, as much as possible for someone who would even go on a show like this. I always get serious ICK factor during that part. If I ever go on The Bachelor (because I'm sure a happily married 36 year old mom of two is totally in their demographic) the only way I would accept a fantasy suite card would be if I could loudly and repeatedly tell the camera "But we're not going to have sex! We're just going to cuddle! Ok mom and dad? Grandma and Grandpa? Pastor Fred? All of my neighbors and my tax guy and the lady who I always run into at the bank... we're not having sex!!!"

I think he made the right choise tonight... he pick who I would of picked. He didn't like chantel n career and I see her parents being a pain about her not being apart of the familly buisness. I think next to go will be Ashley. With the finnal two being chantel o and emilly, with Emilly being the last girl standing. That's just my thought but it could go either way. I can see him with Chantel also.

Was that a commercial for Shawntel's family business that played before her segment last night? It was weird. I'm in Ohio, so a California area funeral home ad seemed so out of place. When I saw that, I knew she wasn't sticking around.

Haha, born and raised in Canada here (home country of Poutine) and I cringed when they said the word like that! I've known it as Poo-teen, and even as a French Canadian, it's just a small accent topped on it... Did they have to fake the accent on top of it? lol :rotfl: Definitely some giggles.

I saw it too! Was it a national airing? I can't imagine the big bucks they shelled out for it if it was, or was it a consolation prize for Shawntal's family, lol?
I couldn't watch her segment last night, I've dealt with several deaths lately, and even though it was kind of in fun, I just couldn't watch.
Brad might have more of a connection with some of the other ladies, but I don't buy it that her family had nothing to do with it. I really thought that Shawntal's dad gave his blessing in words only, I felt that he really would be crushed and heartbroken if Shawntal did not stay to take on the family business.

I thought that the "commercial" was just part of Shauntel's segment??

In any case, it was pretty obvious that Brad was extremely uncomfortable with the whole embalming thing. Also, showing him what she thought could be his "final resting place" on that shelf totally creeped him out too. If Shauntel was really interested in him she should have gone a little more slowly and not been so graphic. It is hard to have romantic feelings for someone after THAT.

I really liked all the families this season. Usually there is at least one family of whackos. They all seemed like nice, normal people. I was kind of surprised that Emily's parents didn't make an appearance. Although her daughter is her family, I thought they might throw in someone else as well.

ooo South Africa...I'm jealous!
I am very bummed that the nookie dates are in South Africa. I don't let my DD watch that episode and she really wants to go to Africa. Although it looks like Brad won't be getting any sugar from Emily.

i hope Emily doesn't give in to the fantasy suite. . i find the fantasy suite kind of disgusting. really? getting a little something from three different women, three nights in a row? that is just gross. if that were real life, i'd think it was gross. it's even worse that it's on national TV.

shawntel sealed her own fate last night. i mean, darkness and death doesn't bother me. and even i would be a little ruffled by what she was doing. but i agree with those who said it seems like maybe she wants to get out of taking over the family business. and i thought the commercial was part of her segment.

chantel's mom has definitely had work done.

ashley's family seems fun.

emily's daughter was so sweet. i don't blame her for being shy. it's bad enough that she's meeting a stranger but to also have cameras following you around for all of it. i mean, that's whole situation is a lot for a five-year-old.

...I thought showing that was a bit weird...
