Friday 19th August
Wet and Wild today. This is a water park not a dodgy place in Soho!
The queues were really slow. We waited over 45 mins to ride the new H²O Disco.
This was the longest queue we had at any park.
I asked a member of staff what was the reason and he said they were short staffed today and for some reason extra busy too.
The park did seem very full but some of the long queues seemed to be because the staff were pretty inefficient. For example we saw quite a few of them sitting around and chatting at the top of a slide with just one out of three slides open. Maybe we are just used to Disney efficiency!
The concrete paths were burning your feet as you walked on them and we were very grateful when they turned on the little water sprinkles that keep the walkways bearable.
We left Wet & Wild at about 2.00 and went back to Festival Bay so I could change some shirts I had bought from Bass Pro ( must be all the heat making me need a bigger shirt size).
We then went to Downtown Disney and had a look around the shops before watching Sky High at the cinema. This was actually quite good for a kids movie and it had a few laughs in it for the adults.
We love to go to the movies in America as the Americans get really involved with the film. They cheer at the triumphant moments and Aah at the soppy bits.
Its as much fun to watch the audience as the film sometimes.
Callum bought a book - Alices adventures in wonderland and a CD from The Virgin Mega store and we headed towards home looking to get something to eat.
We tried at Dennys first but they were queuing out of the door so next we went in to Key W Kools but we came out again as the menu was very expensive and nothing on it was plain enough for Maddies taste.
I must admit that I was getting very tried by now and not just a little bit £$%&%$£ off.
So we went back to the hotel but the restaurant was closed and we ended up with coffee and cookies in our room.
