Monday 22nd August
Seaworld today and we were there by 9.00
We went straight on Kraken which was a walk on and was excellent. Next, Maddie and I did Journey to Atlantis and didnt get totally soaked as we were sat at the back of the boat.
Next it was time for the Clyde and Seamore show and I must admit that the mime that keeps the crowd entertained whilst everyone was getting seated was very funny, even more so than the actual show.
Next up was an early lunch and it was pizza for the kids, an Italian sausage sandwich for me and a chicken wrap for Theresa, followed by carrot cake, chocolate cake and cookies. Is it me or are the portions always a lot bigger in the Seaworld and Busch Gardens than the Disney and Universal Parks? Or did we just choose far too much?
Today was very, very hot and we looked around all of the animals but to be honest it was a real struggle and we left the park at 2.00 and went back to the hotel where Callum and I went for a swim and Maddie and Theresa had a nap (which had nothing to do with me snoring all night again).
We went to IHOP for tea as we had been really pleased with the last visit earlier in the trip,( you would know that anyway as Im sure you have read every day and not skipped any out at all. If you havent, then go back and read it at once! ( If you have read it then you know the rest of them are now wasting their time as its all a complete load of waffle)).
The Bill came to $38 plus tip after our 20% off coupon and I must say that it was as good as last time; a very varied menu, good service and great food.
Next up, we needed another Walmart fix. We bought some munchies, guitar strings for Callum and a few fishing flies for me ( Not a single scrapbook item on the list)
I wondered if they were scrapbooked out, but I need not have worried as they made up for it before we flew home.
We also stopped at The Cracker Barrel and bought a little Christmas Tree decoration that was in the shape of the shop and was only $1.99.
One of my happiest memories of our trip in 2003 was of sitting on one of the rocking chairs on the Cracker Barrel porch and watching the lightning and counting until I heard the thunder roll ( Bit of Garth Brooks there for my fellow country music fans).
We also stopped at Walgreen to get me something to stop my snoring ( Callum suggested if I didnt, he knew a way to stop me using only a pillow but I was grateful that the Snor-eze seemed to do the trick as I did wake up in the morning with my Pillow still UNDER my head.
