Can someone please PM me what happened on the Apprentice tonight? I went out for a silly long dinner and I missed it. Thanks SO much.

<font color=navy>It hasn't been on yet where I live, but I hope we can discuss it later.

Where is RobinRS?

Could I also get a PM on last night's Apprentice show. I had my vcr set up but my daughter changed the station on me and I ended up taping something on Fox! Argh!!!

Thanks in advance,

Janice

:D Hi Janice,
Don't know if anyone has pm'd you yet but I think it's okay if I give you a re-cap on this thread now that the show has aired everywhere.

Last night, the show started off with everyone overjoyed that Sam was gone except for Nick. He was mad Sam was fired and thought Kwame and Bowie should have gone first. He said to the camera that Sam would get his vengance through him.

The task was managing Planet Hollywood for the night. The winner would be the team who could improve sales the most from what they were for that night the year before. Girls went first. They went with their usual plan of "sex sells" and tried to get people to come in by wearing tight t-shirts and calling themselves the shooter girls. Omarosa was behaving herself, Katrina was team leader, and Jessie was having a few issues with Katrina. The girls figured that since they would make the greatest profit off of alcohol sales, they should push that and ended the evening by selling a lot of drinks. Some of them also started drinking themselves with the customers for which they were harshly reprimanded.

The guys spent a lot of time hawking 5$ coupons which didn't work well. Nick was sulking most of the time, basically not helping the team at all. Kwame was team leader. Kwame and Troy came up with the idea to sell merchandise by having Kwame autograph it. They set up a table and had Kwame sitting there to do autographs while they called out "Get an autograph by Kwame Jackson"! If asked, Kwame just told people he was from N. Carolina and involved in Wall street. Nick felt this whole thing was very dishonest because people would assume that Kwame was a famous athlete and buy the merch. because of this.

The women ended up winning and got to go play golf at Trump's course. While they were there, Trump told them they needed to stop using these sex sells tactics because that's not how to get a job with him and because they were good enough that they didn't need to do this.

In the boardroom, Kwame chose Nick as an easy pick since he didn't do much for the team at all. He also chose Bowie but said this was a hard pick and he really complimented Bowie's efforts. Nick spoke of his displeasure with the autograph scam and Trump said it was a hard choice. In the end, Bowie was fired.

In the teasers for next week, they talked about shuffling the teams so it will no longer be men against women anymore.

:D Sorry so long!

Valerie - Thanks for the reply, and no need to apoligize on the length, it helped me picture almost the whole episode. But for the life of me I can't picture who Nick is and it seems to me that he should have been the one fired instead of Bowie.

Thanks again,

Janice

:D Nick is the red head with sort of curly hair. He's the one who was defending Sam in the boardroom when Sam was the leader and then Sam picked him to be one of the three. Donald Trump seemed very surprised he picked Nick since Nick was the only one who said Sam did a good job.

Yuk yuk, HEREIYAM! :teeth:

Interesting show! Nick's alliance with Sam seemed orchestrated though. The Donald KNEW that Sam was one of the reasons people tuned in, now Nick is becoming his second coming...????... sounds fixed to me. His act in front of the restaurant was almost as phony as Sam's nap a couple of weeks ago.. WHO can sleep with a camera up his nose like that????

Sorry, if reality tv wanted actors they should HIRE them like the shows who spend money do!!

Omorosa is also a different person now... as Erica pointed out I think she realizes it's to her benefit. But the change seemed so drastic from last week! IMHO, the show is losing credibility and that's sad because it's really a good show.

Hope the mix of the two groups get some REAL competition going. Sex Sells is getting old. Heck, in my "too hot to trot" days back in NYC I used to be able to get ANYTHING I wanted from the hormonal Average Joe on the street. It does NOT get you in the CEO's office, however! :teeth:

Wasn't it Kwame & Boowie that went to the board room with Sam? I thought D.T. said it was predictable since they were critical of Sam. Sam didn't pick Nick because he was nice to him....

I don't blame Nick for not going along with the misleading antics. I do think he should have helped the team in another way if he didn't agree with the signings. I was glad D.T. didn't pick Nick this time. I'd like to see how he does as team leader too.

That will be good. I don't know about anyone else, but I thought men against women was dumb from the beginning.

 Whoops. You are absolutely right, Annemarie. It was someone else (whoever was the team leader on the jet commercial contract) who picked Nick I think, not Sam. Sorry about that. Here is a picture of Nick to end all this confusion:

:D I'm glad they are switching things up a bit too. It should be interesting to see how they split the teams and who ends up with who.

I don't know if this was a genuine change of heart, or she has just learned how to deal with them.

It's kind of like men, *sorry I'm about to man bash* there are some that just need to be treated like a child. You need to talk to them in that little voice to make them realize they are being idiots. You know what I mean? I think that she either 1)Saw that things were not going to get any better if she continued to fight with these women, or 2) Realized that she not on the same level as these women and had to re-adjust her mind set to make these women listen to what she is saying.

Like she said on a past episode, she was working along side the President of the United States, she wasn't managing a bar or a small company. She wasn't exactly at the same place mentally as these women. I think that she felt like she was stuck in a house of girls that just wanted to play slumber party than that were there to really bust their butts getting that job.

Maybe I'm totally off on my whole perspective of her, but that is just what I am seeing.

I think Omarosa realized that she'd better play nice-lest the girlies decide to oust her:( Hell hath no fury-remember the other ladies aren't very fond of her and could make a plan to get her fired.) So, she's only trying to save her own butt right now. And about good old Nick, his distancing himself from the guys after the Kwame incident was counter productive. He wa still part of a team. Also, I feel he's a big baby when he's in the board room. He gets so insulted and whiny when someone criticizes him. Grow up and take it like a man! And the ladies are really becoming an embarrassment to my gender with the whole sexuality thing. (I wonder if that's what got them on the show in the first place!?!)
All that being said, I love to watch the drama every week. It's better than cable:D

I think you are definetly right. She's at a totally different level then the rest of the girls. She is there to do great things, not play slumber party.

I really think Omarosa has a bright future ahead.

I also agree that she has a different prospective and agenda. What she seems to have learned suddenly is what every person in business learns eventually, you get more with honey than vinegar!

Her attitude is the typical middle manager attitude, not one of upper management. If they would JUST take a look at the temperament of the two people sitting next to Trump and see what it REALLY takes to be the type of person he wants on his staff! Remember DO BE HAVE!

I agree. I wonder if the other women see her as a threat. She has already proven that she has what it takes.

I love the comment she made 2 weeks ago,"I went from the projects to the White House!"
