We had a great evening watching! I dressed up as Lee, my DD came as Sir Alan, her boyfriend was Lucinda and my DH (rather bafflingly) presented himself as an overgrown baby!!! Apparently it was a reference to Kevin looking like Matt Lucas - bless...

We even had the two dogs with Nick and Margaret labels around their necks...

i picked Lee to win right from the start
got to admit at the end i thought claire had edged in front

I thought he would go for Claire as she was like Ruth Badger which I think he always regretted not hiring.

There was just something about Lee I didn't like, I can't put my finger on what though exactly, although now that I think about it when he was in the house shouting at Sara I didn't like that.

I can't believe he got away with the lie. I know some people do & get away with it but he was found out.

I think Claire should have won, yes she has a mouth on her but she has proven sales background & as she said she is thick skinned.

Am I getting them mixed up but didn't Karen Brady say she will recruit Claire if Sir Alan doesn't?

Having said that i'm glad Alex (the backstabber) & Helene (does she ever smile???) didn't win, they were just lucky to be in the final.

I also can't believe Lee won after his CV shenanigans. Have to admit though I didn't want Alex in the end - although he was rather scrummy he was just too childish and Helene was definitely not the "man" for the job. So it had to be between Lee and Claire.

I am sure Claire will do brilliantly though.

Did anyone else think that last years winner Simon, (who I had completely forgetten about) looked really sheepish when they asked Sir Alan how he had got on - I wonder if he wasn't as great as he thought he would be and was worried what Sir A would say.

Can't believe it has ended what will I do on a Wednesday evening now.

Claire said on breakfast this morning that she had a meeting with Karen Brady next week.

Did anyone else think that last years winner Simon, (who I had completely forgetten about) looked really sheepish when they asked Sir Alan how he had got on - I wonder if he wasn't as great as he thought he would be and was worried what Sir A would say.

Sir Alan did say something along the lines of that Simon had needed a lot of watching and that if he was watching he shouldn't think he is brilliant or words to that affect.
