Signups are open through to 1st July

(SIGNUPS ARE CLOSED)

Mail out by 9th July

For NEWBIES & others........this exchange is run in conjunction with one on the US CB. I post it over here to give you guys a chance to participate. It is open to everyone, everywhere. So, if you are now thinking that you'd not wish to send cards outside the UK, now is the time to tell me. Otherwise you could well get to send to & receive from someone in another country.

Children are welcome to join too if they wish..

We now have enough children signed up so they can have their own exchange.

All that means is that now the Children will definately be sending to & receiving from Children.

Please include childrens ages and if they are boy or girl when signing up thanks.

What kind of postcards? Something from your area, a local tourist attraction, somewhere of interest, somewhere you enjoy visiting, anything really, so long it relates somehow to where you live.

Postcards are to be mailed in an envelope, with a mimimum of 3 postcards inside.

Please advise at time of signup if you would prefer you postcards to be left blank or if you would like them written on eg a brief explanation of what is on your postcard or maybe just a simple Hi!

Please PM with your

1 Name

2 Address

3 e-mail address

4 how many exchanges you would like to do

5whether you would like your cards left blank or not

Can I interest any more Brits to join the fun?:tilt: Always plenty of room for more names.:music:

Don't forget Children are most welcome to join as well & I have enough names now to have a separate Childrens exchange, so Children will send & receive from Children:daisy:

Goodnight from Australia.......an hour & 5 mins & it's Monday........I'm off to bed.......hope to have some new players come morning;)

Hi all
I would be up for this but could somebody give me some more info such as what the postcards are of, are they sent from Disney, your hometown etc? Sorry to sound a bit dim but haven't done this before
Thanks Clare ::MinnieMo

Claire

I picked up some postcards for this yesterday just from my hometown and surrounding area. Then when you are given your names, you send them your postcards. You then receive back postcards from different areas of the world.

You can choose if you want your postcards written on or not. I like to have mine written on so the sender will explain about the picture on the card and the local area.

One year I ended up with loads and found out about lots of different places :)

HTH, any more questions just ask.

Thanks for the update Kaylee.
Nutsy count me in, I'll be off buying my postcards tomorrow so that I can put Derby on the world map. I've PM'd you.

Glad you are on-board Clare :)

Anyowne else want to join in??? Just PM Auriel :)

I have PMd too, this sounds like great fun!!

Morning all:cool1: Lovely to wake up to some more signups from the Brits:)

Don't forget, you can sign your children up as well;) We have enough children playing for them to have their own exchange, which simply means that they will exchange with other Children::MickeyMo

Thanks for keeping this bumped for me Kaylee & also for helping out newbies.:)

Just so we all know....postcards can be from anywhere you like. Your local area, a local tourist attraction, somewhere you like to visit.

As to whether you like them written on or not.....as Kaylee said..........having them written on, you get an explanation of what the picture is of & maybe even a bit of info on the local area. Great way to learn about different places.

For anyone who thinks their children may be interested - do it! DD Katie (now 12) and I have done these for a couple of years and she gets the most amazing postcards from other children. She really looks forward to getting hers and learning about other countries (me too :sunny: ).

Latest figures............26 Adults & 8 Children:banana:

But don't stop there folks........come one, come all & join in the fun of the postcard exchange;)

This is your chance to see something of somewhere you may not have been & may never get to visit, so get those names in.

I've collected postcards for several years & found them to be extremely beneficial when my boys have had school projects. Pictures are so often hard to come by even in travel brochures, so we used my postcard collection & they got excellent marks for the projects as the pics were lovely & easy to see & other kids really enjoyed looking at them too. So, that is something for Mum's & Dad's to think about & even you children out there. You just never know when you may need a pic of somewhere or something.

Doing well UK.............got 8 Adults & 5 Children signed up.

Can we make that 10 Adults & 10 Children by Friday?;)

You guys are great & I really appreciate you signing up to make this exchange that much more fun.:cool1:
